ONGC Recruitment

Oil and Natural Gas (ONGC) recruitment has come up with the official notification for the recruitment of officers through GATE 2020 examination. Engineers from various trades including Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and chemical Engineering can apply for these posts. Apart from these, Post graduates from Geology, Chemistry, Geophysics, and Post Graduates in Physics with Electronics can also apply for Assistant Executive Engineer Posts. For Programming officer Posts, Post Graduates in Computer Science or Computer Application and B Level diploma as defined by Dept of Electronics, GOI can apply. For Geologist post, Post graduates in Geology or Candidates with Msc. Or MTech in Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Geology can apply. For the post of Chemist, Candidates with Post graduation in Chemistry can apply. For these vacancies, Upper age limit of General Category candidates is 30 years while for SC/ST and Ex-servicemen candidates it is 35 years. For OBC candidates, upper age limit will be 33 years.

For Persons with Disability candidates this limit is 40 years.

For (Drilling and Cementing Post)

Upper age limit shall be reduced by 2 years for each category candidates except Persons with Disability candidates who are not eligible for Drilling and Cementing post.

The Age calculation date will be 31 st July 2020.
Interested candidates can apply online through ONGC website www.ongcindia.com tentatively in March/April 2020. Total Number of post and detailed information about how to apply for these post will also be made available on the same website through the notification in the month of March 2020.
