UPPCL Recruitment for Junior Engineers (Trainee)

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) has come up with the recruitment for Junior Engineer (Trainee) Electrical Post.

There are total 296 vacancies out of which

• 121 vacancies are for Unreserved Category candidates
• 79 vacancies for OBC candidates
• 62 vacancies for SC candidates
• 5 vacancies for ST candidates
• & 29 vacancies for Economically Weaker Section candidates.

In order to be eligible to apply for these vacancies, a candidate must have passed:

(i) Three Years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering
awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a Diploma equivalent to it and recognized by the state government
or
Three Years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education
or
Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature.

Apart from it, A candidate should have thorough knowledge of Hindi and should have passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi. If the candidate has not passed this examination then he/she has to clear an exam conducted by the Govt. of UP within 3 years of Joining.
The lower age limit for this recruitment is 18 yrs and the upper age limit is 40 yrs. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 yrs for SC/ST and OBC candidates while the relaxation in Upper age limit for physically Handicapped candidates is 15 yrs.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on Computer Based written test.
This test will be of 3hrs duration with total 200 marks and shall comprise of total 200 Questions. Out of these 200 Questions,

150 are Technical Questions
20 Questions are of General Knowledge
20 Questions of Reasoning
and 10 Questions of Hindi will be there. Each correct answer shall carry one mark each and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Emoluments:

Selected candidates will be absorbed as per 7th Pay commission under Pay Matrix Level-7 with Rs 44900/- which is minimum level in this pay matrix. Along with this, Dearness Allowance and other allowances are also applicable as per rules by UPPCL.

The application fee is Rs 1000/- for General, EWS & OBC Category candidates of UP Domicile and for other state candidates. While it is Rs 700/- for SC/ST Category candidates of UP Domicile and Rs 10/- for Physically handicapped candidates

Candidates can apply in between 23rd September 2019 to 16th October 2019. The tentative date of Computer Based Test is the Fourth week of November 2019.
