Eligibility Criteria for BEL Recruitment 2025

Candidates applying online for BEL Recruitment must fulfill all the eligibility criteria, such as educational qualification and age limit. Check the details below for the required eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed the full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (General/OBC/EWS) and 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Age Limit (as on October 1, 2025)

• General/EWS: Maximum 25 years
• OBC (NCL): Relaxation of 3 years (up to 28 years)
• SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years (up to 30 years)
• PwD: Additional 10 years’ relaxation as per government norms

• Candidates in their own interest are advised to apply & submit their application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online. BEL shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications on account of the last-minute rush.

Selection Procedure

• The candidate belonging to General /OBC (NCL)/EWS needs to score a minimum of 35% to clear the Computer-Based Test, and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD need to score a minimum of 30%.
• Based on the Computer-Based Test score, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit in the ratio 1:5. The weightage for the Computer-based test is 85 marks, and the interview is 15 marks.

What is the amount payable for the application fee?

The application fee is ₹1000/- + GST for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.

To which address should I send the printout of the application form and the Company’s copy of the bank challan?

You are NOT required to send a printout of the application form. Candidates should retain their copy of the printed application form, Payment Receipt, as they can be asked to produce it for future reference.

Will candidates be eligible for reimbursement of the cost of travel for appearing for the computer-based test?

No. Candidates will not be eligible for reimbursement of the cost of travel for attending the computer-based test. Outstation candidates shortlisted for the interview will be eligible for reimbursement of AC Chair Car or III Tier AC to and fro train fare by the shortest route from the correspondence address to the place of interview.
