NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TEST (NST) FOR ASPIRANTS OF ESE 2020 AND GATE 2020

WHAT IS NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TEST (NST)?

National Scholarship Test or NST is a national (all India) level scholarship program. It is aimed at providing talented aspirants of GATE exam and ESE exam, who have a weak economic condition, with a scholarship for coaching at MADE EASY. The group has announced a total scholarship amounting to Rs.5 Crore. The scholarship is for students who want to enroll in the classroom programs of MADE EASY. The courses are available for both ESE exam and GATE exam.

PERCENTAGE OF TUITION FEE GRANTED AS SCHOLARSHIP FOR MADE EASY CLASSROOM COURSES

The percentage of scholarship granted for the MADE EASY classroom courses depend entirely upon the marks scored by the candidate in NST. The students are graded based on their position in the merit list. The monetary value of the scholarship granted varies from 10% to 100% of the tuition fee.

There are 5 categories or grades which are assigned. These are A, B, C, D and E. A is the highest grade followed by B, then C, after that D and the lowest grade is E. The scholarship (as percentage of the tuition fee) corresponding to the different grades are as follows:

NST is conducted twice a year as NST-1 and NST-2. The results of NST-1, to be conducted on 7th Oct 2018, are applicable for batches commencing from Dec 2018 to Mar 2019. NST-2 will be conducted on 10th Mar 2018 and is applicable for batches starting from Apr 2019 to Jul 2019.

PATTERN OF NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TEST

National Scholarship Test or NST is an offline test. The questions asked in NST are objective type questions. It is to be noted that negative marking is implemented for wrong answers. The students have been provided with a flexible system. They can choose the type of question paper they want to answer. The students have a choice to opt either the Technical Based Question Paper or the Aptitude Based Question Paper. The complete test pattern of National Scholarship Test is as follows:

  • Negative Marking: 66 marks per wrong answer

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  3. Pay the registration fee.
  4. Login details will be mailed to your registered e-mail id.
  5. Login to NST portal.
  6. Download your Admit Card.
  7. Timing and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the Admit Card.

NOTE: Admit Card along with a valid Photo ID proof must be produced to enter the examination hall.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for National Scholarship Test is Rs.200 only. This fee can be paid through online modes: Credit cards, debit cards, and net banking.

Important Notes To All The Aspirants Of NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TEST

  1. Each centre of MADE EASY will prepare a separate merit list. All the merit lists will be prepared stream-wise.
  2. MADE EASY Students means students who were, at any point of time, enrolled in regular or weekend classroom courses. These courses include GATE, GS, ESE+GATE+PSUs, Super Talent, Conventional Practice, and Rank Improvement batches.
  3. The National Scholarship is only applicable to GATE and GATE+ESE long-term classroom courses.
  4. MADE EASY as well as Non-MADE EASY students are allowed to appear for NST.
