The upper age limit for the SSC JE exam 2026 is 30 years for major posts and 32 years for posts under the Central Public Works Department and the newly added Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships.

From 2026 onwards, the new SSC pattern for Paper 1 is as follows. It has introduced an important change in Paper 1.
