- Engineer (E2): Full-time BE/BTech or MSc (Chemistry) from a recognized university, with relevant post-qualification experience in a coal-based thermal power plant. The maximum age limit is 32 years.
- Deputy Manager (E4): Similar educational background with higher relevant experience. The maximum age limit is 36 years.
- Chief General Manager (E8a): Extensive executive-level experience in thermal power generation. The maximum age limit is 55 years.
The age relaxation applies as per government norms: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC (NCL) get 3 years and PwBD candidates get 10 to 15 years.
