Data Science and Artificial Intelligence:
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence were included in GATE 2024 by IISC Bangalore. The introduction of this new course has given a good opportunity to students with B.Tech. and B.E. degrees. This course will continue in GATE 2025 this year also as the demand for data science and artificial intelligence is increasing day by day.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a new branch of study that deals with scientific methodologies, processes, and techniques drawn from different domains like statistics, cognitive science, computing, and information science to extract knowledge from structured and unstructured data.
There is a high demand for skilled data scientists and AI professionals in various industries. Data scientists extract insights from structured and unstructured data and help in deriving meaningful conclusions and solving complex problems. Data science plays a crucial role in many industries, such as finance, healthcare, marketing, and technology. Whereas AI professionals develop intelligent machines that can stimulate human intelligence and perform tasks that usually require human intervention. AI professionals have lots of scope for innovation and creativity, as well as contributing to the advancement of technology.
Both data science and artificial intelligence (AI) are highly promising fields with significant career opportunities. The choice between the two depends on your interests, skills, and long-term goals. Because of such aspects, the introduction of the new subject is a fair choice for IISc Bangalore.
