Congratulations ESE 2024 aspirants!! Finally, your wait is over. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the ESE 2024 Final Result on 22nd November 2024.

Engineering Services Examination also known as ESE is one of the major examinations conducted by UPSC. Each year thousands of aspirants appear for this exam and clearing the subsequent stages of the exam i.e. prelims, main, and the personal interview round enables the aspirants to serve in various departments of the Government of India as designated officials. Thus, the Engineering Services Examination is considered as the most prestigious examination among engineering graduates.

ESE Prelims 2024 was held on 18th February 2024, followed by the ESE 2024 Main Exam on 23rd June 2024.

Earlier, the Personality Test (Interview) of those students who had successfully cleared the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2024 started from 7th October 2024.

Now after conducting the personality test, the ESE 2024 Final Results have been announced. The following table represents the list of candidates (category-wise) who have been recommended for appointment to various Services/Posts in the Ministries/Departments concerned.

Based on the results of the written part of the Engineering Services Examination 2024 held by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION and the Personality Test, the following are the lists, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to various Services/Posts in the Ministries/Departments concerned.

$ In Electrical Engineering, 01 PwBD-3 backlog vacancy has been interchanged with PwBD-1 due to non-availability of PwBD-3 candidate.

3. Results of 04 candidates in E&T Engineering discipline have been withheld.

4. Appointments shall be made strictly in accordance with the extant rules and the number of vacancies available. Allotment of candidates to various Services/Posts shall be made according to ranks obtained and preference of Services expressed by them.

7. In accordance with Rule 13 (iv) & (v) of the Engineering Services Examination Rules 2024, the Commission is maintaining a consolidated Reserve List of candidates for each discipline as under:

8. The Union Public Service Commission has a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near the Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their Examination/recruitments on working days between 10:00 A.M. and 05:00 P.M. in person or over Telephone Nos. 011-23385271 and 011-23381125 from this Counter. The result will also be available on the UPSC Website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in. The mark sheet shall be made available on the website within fifteen days from the date of declaration of result.

Ans: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Engineering Services Examination every year respectively.

Ans: The candidate must possess an Engineering degree in either of these streams: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized university or other educational institute. Q.3 – What is the expected salary for the candidate clearing ESE?

Ans: ESE officers can expect a salary ranging from ₹ 56,100- ₹ 1,77,500 including basic pay, dearness allowance, and other allowances at the time of joining. The salary of an ESE officer is based on the 7th pay commission.

Ans: The highest post in the ESE is Managing Director or Chairperson.
