The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is a government body responsible for the recruitment of candidates for various posts under the state government of Jharkhand. Recently, JPSC has released a notification for the post of lecturer in various polytechnic colleges under the state government. This recruitment has brought a great opportunity for all the candidates who were looking for government teaching jobs in technical institutions of Jharkhand.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates would be selected on two pay scales
- Entry Pay ₹56,100/-Level 9‘A’
- Entry Pay ₹57,700/-Level 10
The selected candidates would be on probation for 2 years.

Essential Qualification
The essential qualification for JPSC Lecturer 2026 is given in the table below:

| For Science and Humanities: A Master’s Degree with First Class or equivalent in a relevant subject and, must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET//SET. |
Selection Process
The process of selection of Lecturer in Polytechnics shall involve the inviting of the application developed by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), based on the Assessment Criteria and Methodology guidelines set out in Table of clause 8 of advertisement and reprints of all significant publications of the candidates provided that the publications submitted by the candidate have been published during the qualifying period.
- The Commission shall prepare a merit list in order of preference furnished by the candidate and on the basis of vacancies and reservation roster and shall send recommendation to the appointing authority
- Final merit list shall be prepared from the aggregate marks obtained in both academic and interview stages. In the event of total marks obtained from educational qualifications, interview and experience being the same, candidates having higher marks in Post-Graduation will be placed higher in the final merit list. In the event of candidate having same educational qualifications marks, candidate who is older in age according to the date of birth will be placed higher in the final merit list.

Misconduct and its Repercussions
Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information in filling up the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case correct or alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or its attested/certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy between two or more such documents or their attested/certified copies, an explanation regarding this discrepancy should be submitted. A candidate who is or has been declared to be guilty of:
- Misbehaving in any other manner in the interview premises, or
- Harassing or doing bodily harm to the staff employed for the conduct of their interview, or
- Bringing mobile phone/communication device in the interview room.
- Attempting to commit or, as the case may be, abetting the Commission of all or any of the acts specified in the forgoing clauses may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution be liable:
- To be disqualified from selection, for which he/she is a candidate, and/or
- To be debarred either permanently or for a specified period
