Delhi Metro Rail Corporation abbreviated as DMRC is a central state Public Sector Undertaking company that operates the Delhi Metro. Similarly, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) Ltd., a Joint venture company of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh is executing the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor. The principal objective of NMRC is to plan, design, develop, construct, maintain, operate and finance mass transit and other urban transport in Noida and Greater Noida region. According to this, NMRC is developing a metro rail system connecting twin cities Noida and Greater Noida.

A. Eligibility criteria

1. Age limit:

The age limit for the NMRC examination is between 18 to 28 years. In addition, there are relaxations available for certain categories:

• Upper age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates
• Upper age relaxations by 5 years for candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir who had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
• Upper age for Ex-servicemen will be the length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 40 years.
• Upper age relaxation by 10 years for PwD Unreserved candidates, 15 years for PwD SC/ST candidates, and 13 years for PwD OBC candidates (of the central list) for posts where reservation for PwD is admissible.

2. Educational Qualifications:

One can apply to these given posts at NMRC Noida in case of complete fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and the educational qualification specified in the NMRC recruitment notification. The qualifications are different for various posts depending on the chosen branch. Candidates should have got a minimum of 60% marks/equivalent CGPA in BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil or equivalent trade from a Govt. recognized University/Institute, with a valid GATE score OR 2 (Two) year full-time MBA with 60% of marks/equivalent CGPA having specialization in Marketing/International Business Operations/Logistics from a Government recognized University/Institute.
4	Fire	B.Sc. (Three years duration) or equivalent from a Govt. recognized University with one year of Advance Diploma of National Fire Service College of Nagpur or BE (Fire) of NFSC, Nagpur or equivalent
5	Store	GATE qualified candidates; Candidates should have got a minimum of 60% marks/equivalent CGPA in B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic discipline from a Govt. recognized University/Institute, with a valid GATE score.

6	Fire Inspector	B.Sc. (three years course) from a Govt. Recognized University, with one-year Fire and Safety course from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.
7	Maintainer Electrician	ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in Electrician Trade, from a Government recognized University/Institute.
8	Maintainer Electronic Mechanic	ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in Electronic Mechanic, Information Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Machine Computer Hardware, and Machine cum Operator Electronic Communication System, Machine Industrial Electronics, Radio, and TV Machine, Power Electronics System from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.
9	Maintainer – Ref & AC Mechanic	ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in Refrigeration & AC Mechanic from a Government recognized University/Institute.
10	Maintainer – Fitter	ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in Fitter, Lift & Escalator Mechanic from a Government-recognized University/Institute.

 

Apart from the above-mentioned qualifications, there are other special cases where a person can apply for the above posts:

1. A person with a higher qualification than mentioned as the eligibility criteria can also apply for the post. However, for the post of Maintainer/ (Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Ref & AC Mechanic, and Fitter) the candidates have completed ITI in specified, above-mentioned trades.
2. If a candidate is qualified for more than one post, he/she can apply to any number of posts.
3. All the candidates who are appearing for the qualifying exam (which would make them educationally eligible for these posts) are also eligible for applying for these posts. These candidates will be admitted to the examination but their candidature will be provisional. Unable to provide proof of passing the qualifying examination on the date of publication of the result of CBT by NMRC for non-executive posts or on date of GD/Interview for the executive posts, their candidature is liable for cancellation.

 

B. Selection Procedure:

For the NMRC the selection procedure includes a written examination followed by an interview.

Important points:

• The candidates are required to qualify for each examination along with the medical examination to receive final selection for both executive and non-executive posts.

• All the candidates who qualify both the papers separately and rank high on NMRC’s merit list receive the call for the next steps such as medical examination, GD, and Interview.
• Candidates (for all categories of posts) called for GD and Interview will receive sleeper-class railway fare for the journey by the shortest route.

 

NMRC Medical Examination:

• All the candidates whether after the Interview or after CBT will have to undergo the medical fitness test(s) and meet the medical standards prescribed by NMRC for various posts.
• Expenses for the first-time medical examination of the candidate will be borne by NMRC. However, in case a candidate seeks an extension for joining or re-examination, he has to bear the expenditure for the medical test/s.

D. NMRC Cut off

Each year depending on the exam pattern, exam difficulty, number of candidates applied, and the vacancies available the NMRC cut-off marks for the recruitment of executive and non-executive post varies.

Surety Bond: All the candidates selected for the post under Executive Cadre/Non-Executive Cadre will have to execute a surety bond. They will have to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years (exclusive of the period in which one remained on LWP or EOL) and prior notice will be required before seeking resignation from the corporation. Candidates must note that there are 3 months prior notice for regular posts and a 1-month notice for contractual posts. The authorities penalize the candidates if the former fail to follow the above-mentioned guidelines the candidate.

Training: All the candidates (both Regular and Contract) who are selected have to undergo intensive training for the prescribed duration before posting on the job. The Corporation has the right to enhance or reduce the training period at its discretion for any or all the trainees.

Probation: The selected candidates (on regular posts) on appointment will be on probation of two years (including the period of training). During the probation period, candidates shall be required to pass various examinations. In case, the corporation finds the candidate’s performance unsatisfactory, they will terminate the service of the candidate during the probation period in accordance with the terms and conditions of the appointment offer and receipt of the satisfactory police report. The probation period will exclude LWP or EOL.
