NPCIL Executive Trainees Recruitment 2026 via GATE 2024/2025/2026

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited has released Advertisement No. NPCIL/HQ/HRM/ET/2025/04 to recruit Executive Trainees in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Civil disciplines. The selection will be based on valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 scores, followed by a personal interview.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals, and eligible candidates must apply online through the official website www.npcilcareers.co.in. The online registration process starts on 10 April 2026 (10:00 AM) and will close on 30 April 2026 (4:00 PM).

Eligibility Criteria for NPCIL Recruitment 2026

Candidates applying for NPCIL Executive Trainees Recruitment 2026 must meet specific eligibility requirements related to educational qualification, age limit, and GATE score. Applicants should have a relevant engineering degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized institute.

  • A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) or 5-year Integrated M.Tech in a relevant discipline from an AICTE/UGC recognized institute is required.
  • Applicants must have a valid GATE-2024 or GATE-2025 or GATE-2026 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline

Note : Candidates from Electrical and related branches can apply under Electronics, provided they have a valid GATE score in Electronics. Additionally, Electrical & Electronics graduates can apply under either Electrical or Electronics, and Electronics & Instrumentation graduates can apply under Instrumentation or Electronics, but must have a valid GATE score in the chosen discipline.

Placement:

After training, Executive Trainees (ETs) can be posted at any NPCIL/DAE location in India or abroad based on organizational needs. Most PHWR stream candidates are posted at PHWR stations and projects, while LWR candidates are mainly posted at KKNPP and related projects. Some postings may also be at Tarapur (TAPS 1&2), Maharashtra.

Few ETs may also be posted for other functions such as R&D, Design & Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance and such others.

Stipend – During Training :

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹74,000/-
  • One time Book Allowance: ₹30,000/-
  • Mandatory Lodging & Boarding: In accommodation as provided by NPCIL

Pay- On Appointment as SO/C:

After successful completion of training, Executive Trainee will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C in Group ‘A’ as detailed below :

Dearness Allowance (DA) is provided as per Government of India rates. In addition to basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances, incentives, and facilities based on their place of posting as per applicable rules.

Selection Process :

The selection process will comprise of the following:

  • Shortlisting for the Executive Trainee 2026 interview will be based on GATE 2024, 2025, and 2026 scores, with candidates selected in a 1:12 ratio as per merit.
  • Only candidates with valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 scores are eligible for this recruitment. GATE 2023 or earlier scores will not be accepted.
  • Equal weightage will be given to GATE 2024, GATE 2025 and GATE 2026 Scores.
  • PwBD candidates will be shortlisted separately in a 1:12 ratio within each reserved disability category.
  • Discipline and category-wise cut-off will be published on the NPCIL recruitment portal. Shortlisted candidates can check their interview status through the ‘Application Status’ section by logging in on the official website.
  • Shortlisted candidates will receive interview details (date, time, and venue) via Email/SMS, and the call letter will be available for download from the official website.
  • A separate merit list will be prepared for each PwBD category based on interview marks, and candidates will be selected in order of merit from this list.
  • Interview results will be available through individual login on the NPCIL recruitment website, and the Offer of Traineeship can also be downloaded from the same portal.
  • After receiving the Offer of Traineeship, candidates must submit their acceptance (whether joining or not) via email within the specified time.

How to Apply

Candidates must use their GATE 2024/2025/2026 registration number while applying and ensure all details, including discipline, are filled correctly, as no corrections will be allowed later. Applications must be submitted online only, and no hard copy or documents should be sent to NPCIL before the interview.

Instructions for Applying Online :

  • Applicants are requested to read the eligibility criteria and ensure that they meet all the criteria before applying.
  • Applicants are advised to apply well before the last date to avoid technical issues like website traffic or connectivity problems. NPCIL will not be responsible for any delay in application submission.
  • Applicants must have a valid GATE 2024/2025/2026 score with qualifying marks in the relevant discipline they are applying for.
  • An applicant has to apply through an online application form provided on the website npcilcareers.co. in only.
  • The online application form will be available on the website from 10/04/2026 at 1000 Hrs. to 30/04/2026 (1600 Hrs.).
  • Applicants must provide all required details—such as GATE registration number, educational qualifications, marks, contact details, and scanned photo/signature—to complete the application. It is advised to keep these details ready before applying online.
  • Candidates must upload a JPEG photo (10–50 KB) and signature (within size limits) while applying. The same photo will appear on the call letter, and only candidates with a matching photo will be allowed to attend the interview.
  • Applicants must provide a valid and active email ID, as all important updates will be sent via email. SMS alerts will be sent only if the mobile number is active and not registered under DND/NCPR.

General Conditions :

  • Only Indian Nationals above 18 years of age are eligible to apply.
  • Before applying, the applicants should ensure that she/he fulfils the eligibility criteria.

  • All qualifications should be from a University/Institute recognized by UGC/AICTE appropriate statutory authority.

  2. I have gate 2018 score and btech in civil engineering passed in 2018 but showing doesn’t match minimum education qualification…
