- Registration Process: Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the post as of the specified eligibility date. Applications can only be submitted online through the website https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings. The registration process will be considered complete only after the application fee is paid through the Bank’s online payment mode, on or before the last date for fee submission, which is 04.10.2024.

- Age Relaxation: Candidates seeking age relaxation or fee exemptions must provide the necessary certificates at the time of document verification.
- Character Reports: Candidates with adverse reports regarding character or antecedents are ineligible. If such reports arise post-selection, their candidature will be cancelled.
- Single Application: Each candidate can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
- Vacancies: The Bank reserves the right to alter the number of available posts.
- Recruitment Process: SBI can modify or cancel the recruitment process at any time, without refunding the application fee.
- False Information: Providing false information or engaging in fraud will result in disqualification and legal action.
- Probation: Selected candidates will be placed on probation as per the Bank’s policy.
- Appointment Terms: Appointments will be made at the entry-level pay scale for the respective post.
- Test Centers: The Bank will determine the centers for the online test or interview.
- Eligibility at Interview: Candidates found ineligible during the interview will not be allowed to proceed, and travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
- Merit Tie: If multiple candidates score the same in the final merit list, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
- Communication Responsibility: SBI is not responsible for delays or loss of any communication.
- NOC Requirement: Candidates employed in government or public sector roles must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the interview stage.
- Discharge Certificate: Selected candidates must provide a discharge certificate from their current employer before appointment.
- CIBIL: Candidates with outstanding loan defaults or adverse CIBIL reports are ineligible unless these issues are resolved before the offer letter is issued.

Important Points:
- PwBD reservation is horizontal and included within the overall category vacancies.
- Vacancies, including reserved positions, are provisional and may change.
- Posting and placement of selected candidates are at the Bank’s discretion.
- Age limits apply to Unreserved category candidates; reserved candidates get age relaxation per government rules.
- Reservation follows Government of India guidelines.
- OBC candidates in the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not eligible for OBC benefits and should apply as ‘UR’ or ‘UR (PwBD)’.

Note: Only individuals with benchmark disabilities—defined as having at least 40% disability, whether measurable or not—are eligible for reservation. To claim this benefit, candidates must submit a valid Disability Certificate, issued by a Medical Authority or Competent Authority, dated on or before the application registration deadline. Without a valid certificate, candidature will be cancelled, and no further communication will be entertained.
Guidelines for using Scribe & Compensatory Time:
(i). The facility of scribe would be allowed to a person who has disability of 40% or more if so desired by the person and is meant for only those persons with disability who have physical limitation to write including that of speed. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply:
- Candidates wishing to use a scribe must indicate it in the online application form.
- Both candidate and scribe must submit an undertaking with the scribe’s passport photo during the exam.
- Candidates eligible for a scribe will get 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour, even if they don’t use a scribe.
- Candidates must arrange their own scribe at their own cost.
- Candidates not eligible to use a scribe, but doing so, will be disqualified.
- If the scribe answers questions independently, the exam session will be terminated, and the candidate’s application cancelled.
- Scribes will be allowed based on the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (F.No.16-110/2003-DDIII, 26 Feb 2013).
(ii). As per Office Memorandum F. No. 29-6/2019-DD-III (dated 10/08/2022), scribe and/or compensatory time will be provided only to Persons with Disabilities under section 2(s) of the RPwD Act 2016 but not covered under section 2(r). Candidates with writing difficulties must present a certificate from a government healthcare institution stating the necessity of a scribe. The scribe’s qualification must be one level below the candidate’s. Candidates using their own scribe should submit details as per the prescribed Proforma (Appendix-II) of the O.M.

Important Points:
- The educational qualification prescribed for the post is minimum. Candidate must possess the Post Basic qualification and relevant full time experience as on specified dates.
- The experience certificate from the employer must clearly state that the candidate has experience in the relevant field as required.
- In cases where experience in a specific field is required, the relevant experience certificate must contain specifically that the candidate had experience in that specific field.

G. Selection for the post at sr. No. 1 to 5:
- Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee a call for interaction. The Bank’s shortlisting committee will set the criteria and select a sufficient number of candidates for interaction. The Bank’s decision on who is called for interaction is final, and no correspondence regarding this will be entertained.
- Interaction: Interaction will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in interaction will be decided by the Bank. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Interactions may be multi-tiered / layered and number of tiers / layers of interaction for each post will be decided by the Bank in due course.
- Merit List: The merit list will be prepared based on scores obtained in the interaction, in descending order. If multiple candidates score the same cut-off marks, they will be ranked by age, with older candidates placed higher.
H. Selection for the post at sr. No. 6:
- Online written Test: The online written test will be conducted tentatively in the month of November 2024. The call letter of test will be uploaded on Bank’s website and also advised to the candidates through SMS and e-mails. Candidates will be required to download the call letters. Candidate should choose the name of the centre where he/she desires to appear in the examination. No change in the choice of examination centre will be entertained. The Bank, however, reserves the right to add or delete any centre and allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.
- Pre- Examination Training: Bank will arrange pre-examination training in online mode for SC/ST/OBC/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Link for attending online Pre-Examination Training will be hosted on Bank’s website for eligible candidates.

Note: There will be no negative marks for wrong answers in Online Written Examination.
- Qualifying Papers: All papers, except Professional Knowledge (PK), are qualifying. Minimum marks will be set or waived by the Bank.
- Professional Knowledge (PK) Paper: Candidates must score at or above the cut-off in PK paper and meet the minimum qualifying marks in other papers to be shortlisted for Interaction.
- Selection Process: Top-ranked candidates are selected based on merit. In case of tie at the cut-off, candidates will be ranked by age.
- Interaction: A set number of candidates will be called for Interaction (25 marks). Qualifying marks will be determined by the Bank.

- Interview: 30%
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the normalization of marks scored in the Online Written Test and Interaction, with a 70:30 weightage.

A waitlist will be maintained for each post and category. Candidates from this waitlist may be considered for vacancies due to non-joining, resignation, or termination, provided they meet the minimum qualifying marks set by the Bank. The waitlist will remain valid for one year from the result date or until a new advertisement for the same post is issued, whichever is earlier.

J. Call Letter for Online Examination and Interaction:
- For Online Written Examination: The candidates should download their call letter for online examination and an “Acquaint Yourself” booklet by entering their registration number and password/date of birth, from the Bank’s website.
- For Interaction: Intimation/call letter for interaction will be uploaded on bank’s website or sent by email, as decided by the Bank.
K. Proof of Identity to be submitted at the Examination:
Candidates must bring one photo ID proof (e.g., Passport, Aadhar, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter’s Card, or Bank Passbook with an attested photograph) in original and a self-attested photocopy. The photocopy must be submitted along with the call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall. Failure to provide this or if the identity is in doubt, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test.
L. Action against Candidate found Guilty of Misconduct:
Candidates are advised not to provide false, tampered, or fabricated information and to disclose all relevant details on the application form. During the examination or interaction, if a candidate is found guilty of:
- Using unfair means,
- Impersonating or procuring impersonation,
- Misbehaving in the examination hall,
- Engaging in irregular or improper conduct,
- Obtaining support through unfair means,
They may face criminal prosecution and:
- Disqualification from the examination,
- Debarment from future examinations or recruitment by the Bank.
The Bank may analyze response patterns to detect similarities and, if responses are found to be shared or invalid, reserves the right to cancel the candidate’s candidature.
M. Use of Mobile Phone, Pager, Calculator, Smartwatch or Any Such devices:
- Mobile phones, pagers, smartwatches, and other communication devices are prohibited in the examination/interview area. Violations may lead to cancellation of candidature and a ban from future exams.
- Do not bring banned items (e.g., pagers, calculators, smartwatches) as safekeeping cannot be guaranteed. Mobile phones must be switched off and deposited at a designated location.
- Calculators are not allowed in the examination area.
N. IRIS Scan/Biometric Verification:
- The Bank may capture digital IRIS scans/thumb impressions for verification. The IRIS/Biometric verification authority’s decision is final. Refusal to participate may lead to candidature cancellation.
IRIS Scanning:
- Only the LEFT EYE will be scanned.
- Remove contact lenses and spectacles before scanning.
- IRIS scanning is touchless and requires a half-foot distance. Failure to comply will result in non-admittance and cancellation of candidature.
Biometric Verification:
- Ensure correct thumb impressions are captured at all stages. Inconsistencies will lead to rejection.
- Do not apply external substances (e.g., mehndi, ink) to hands. Non-genuine candidates will face legal action and candidature cancellation.
O. How to apply?
Candidates should have valid Email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of result. It will help him/her in getting call letter/Interview advice etc. by email.
Guidelines for Filling Online Application
- Registration & Payment:
-
- Register online via the SBI website https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings.
- Pay the application fee using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, etc.
- Document Upload: Scan and upload your latest photograph and signature as specified on the registration page. The application will not be registered without these uploads.
- Application Submission: Fill out and submit the application carefully. If needed, save your progress to generate a provisional registration number and password, allowing up to three edits. Complete and submit the application along with the fee payment.
- Print Application: After online registration, print the system-generated application form.
- Age Relaxation: Submit necessary certificates for age relaxation at the time of joining. Changes in category are not allowed after online registration.
Guidelines for Payment of Fees
- Application fees and Intimation Charges (Non-refundable) is ₹ 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only) for General/EWS/OBC candidates and no fees/intimation charges for SC/ ST /PwBD candidates.
- After ensuring correctness of the particulars in the application form, candidates are required to pay the fees through payment gateway integrated with the application. No change/ edit in the application will be allowed thereafter.
- Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway available thereat. The payment can be made by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking etc. by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form, bearing the date of submission by the candidate, will be generated which should be printed and retained by the candidate.
- If the online payment of fee is not successfully completed in first instance, please make fresh attempts to make online payment.
- A provision is there to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at later stage.
- Application Fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account NOR can it be adjusted for any other examination or selection in future.
P. How to Upload Documents:
a. Details of Document to be uploaded:

b. Photograph file type/ size:
- Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture.
- Size of file should be between 20 kb – 50 kb and Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
- Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light coloured, preferably white, background.
- Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
- If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
- If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye”
- If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections, and your eyes can be clearly seen.
- Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
- Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colour etc., during the process of scanning.
c. Signature file type/ size:
- The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
- The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
- The signature will be used to put on the Call Letter and wherever necessary.
- Size of file should be between 10 kb – 20 kb and Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
- Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20 kb.
- Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.
d. Document file type/ size:
- All Documents must be in PDF (except Photograph & Signature)
- Page size of the document to be A4
- Size of the file should not be exceeding 500 kb.
- In case of Document being scanned, please ensure it is saved as PDF and size not more than 500 kb as PDF. If the size of the file is more than 500 kb, then adjust the setting of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colors etc., during the process of scanning. Please ensure that Documents uploaded are clear and readable.
e. Guidelines for scanning of photograph/ signature/ documents:
- Set scanner resolution to at least 200 dpi.
- Set color to True Color.
- Crop the image to the edge of the photograph/signature, then resize to the final specified dimensions using an upload editor.
- Save the photo/signature as JPG or JPEG (e.g., image01.jpg or image01.jpeg).
- Check image dimensions by listing files or hovering over the file icon.
- Use MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager to ensure the photo ≤ 50 KB and signature ≤ 20 KB. Save in .jpg format and reduce file size if necessary.
- A link will be provided in the Online Application Form to upload your photograph and signature.
f. Procedure for Uploading Document:
- There will be separate links for uploading each document.
- Click on the respective link “Upload”
- Browse & select the location where the JPG or JEPG, PDF, DOC or DOCX file has been saved.
- Select the file by clicking on it and click the ‘Upload’ button.
- Click Preview to confirm the document is uploaded and accessible properly before submitting the application. If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed
- Once uploaded/ submitted, the Documents uploaded cannot be edited/ changed.
- After uploading the photograph/ signature in the online application form candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. If the face in the photograph or signature is unclear the candidate’s application may be rejected.
Q. General Information
- Eligibility: Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria and provide accurate information. Incorrect or false details will result in cancellation of candidature or termination of services, if discovered later.
- Application: Follow the prescribed format strictly. Ensure the application is properly filled.
- Reserved Category Applications: Candidates from reserved categories, including those for whom no reservation is mentioned, can apply for general category vacancies if they meet all the general eligibility criteria.
- Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit and adherence to the Bank’s service and conduct rules.
- Email Communication: Keep your email ID active for receiving communication such as call letters and interview details. No hard copy communication will be sent.
- Responsibility: The Bank is not responsible for any delays or loss of communication.
- No Objection Certificate: Government/quasi-Government employees must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the interview; otherwise, their candidature may be rejected.
- Application Timing: Apply well before the closing date to avoid issues with website access or connectivity. The Bank is not responsible for any submission issues due to such reasons.
- Decision Finality: The Bank’s decisions regarding eligibility, interviews, tests, and selection are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
- False Information: Candidates will face civil or criminal consequences if the information provided is found to be false.
- Interview Selection: Meeting eligibility does not guarantee an interview. The Bank reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, etc.
- Multiple Applications: Only the last valid application will be considered; fees for other applications will be forfeited.
- Legal Jurisdiction: Any legal matters related to the advertisement or application will be handled exclusively in Mumbai courts.
- Travel Reimbursement: Outstation candidates called for an interview will be reimbursed for train fare (Tier III) or actual travel costs, whichever is lower. Local conveyance expenses will not be reimbursed. Ineligible candidates will not receive any fare reimbursement.
- Change/Correction Requests: Requests for changes or corrections in the application form will not be entertained. Fill out the application carefully.
- Recruitment Process: The Bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage without providing reasons.
- Criminal Cases Disclosure: Candidates must disclose any pending criminal cases. Suppression of such facts will lead to cancellation of candidature or selection, and the Bank may conduct independent verification.
