The Union Public Service Commission announced the ESE 2025 Final Result on 17 December 2025, filling 458 vacancies across the respective eligible engineering branches. UTKARSH PATHAK – ESE 2025 AIR 1 (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering)

Utkarsh Pathak secured All India Rank 1 in ESE 2025, marking an exceptional achievement in the Engineering Services Examination. He hails from Patna, Bihar, and completed his B.Tech from IIT Patna in 2023.

Alongside his success in ESE, Utkarsh has also demonstrated strong academic excellence in GATE. He secured AIR 138 in GATE 2023 (Electrical Engineering) and AIR 403 in GATE 2023 (Electronics & Communication Engineering), reflecting his strong conceptual understanding across core engineering disciplines.

Despite limited vacancies, he achieved an outstanding result by securing All India Rank 1 in Mechanical Engineering in ESE 2025.

Nimesh is already serving at NTPC and had earlier cleared ESE 2020 with AIR 14. He also secured AIR 3 in GATE 2025. However, his dream department has always been the Indian Railways. With this clear goal in mind, he decided to reappear for ESE 2025 and cleared the examination with flying colours, achieving the top rank.
