Telecom Regulatory Authority of India is a statutory body established under an Act of Parliament, viz., the TRAI Act, 1997. Eligibility Criteria

- The candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE-2023/2024/ 2025 as shown in the following table and qualified in the same. The qualifying marks shall be as declared by the GATE-2023/ 2024/ 2025 Organizing Body.

Application Fee
- The candidates belonging to GeneraV OBC categories are required to make a non-refundable payment of ₹100/- towards application fee with the applicable bank charges.
- The application fee can be paid on any day between 15.12.2025 to 04.01.2026 (till 23:00 hrs.) only.
- SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-serviceman applicants are exempted from the payment of the Application Fee.
How to Apply
Candidates are required to apply online through the link available on www.trai.gov.in under the tab “CAREERS”. No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted under any circumstances.
Selection Process
- Only those candidates eligible in all respects and have qualified relevant test papers in GATE 2023 or GATE 2024, or GATE 2025, and have registered their applications on the portal of TRAI shall be considered for further selection process in TRAI.
- Based on their GATE score, candidates shall be shortlisted for document Verification based on discipline-wise category-wise merit list.
- Application Reference number of the candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview will be posted on the TRAI website trai.gov.in only. Call Letters of the shortlisted candidates will be sent to their registered e-mail IDs. Candidates will have to regularly visit the TRAI Website (www.trai.gov.in) for the link and check their registered E-mail IDs (all folders, including spam) for downloading their call letter.
- On the day of the Interview, during document Verification, the candidates will have to produce his/her Original Certificates along with a proof of identity and submit one set of self-attested photocopies of all the Certificates. If the identity of the candidate is in doubt or he/she is not able to produce the requisite documents or there is a mismatch of information in the documents, his/her candidature will be rejected. No additional time will be given for producing original documents.
- In case a candidate does not appear for document Verification along with original documents, he/she shall not be eligible for provisional selection, and his/her candidature shall be rejected.
- Upon completion of document Verification, candidates found eligible shall be shortlisted for a Personal interview in order of merit, based on their valid GATE Score, subject to fulfillment of all other eligibility criteria prescribed for the post.
- The final selection of the candidates will be purely based on discipline-wise category-wise merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of marks of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in Personal Interview, subject to medical fitness.
