Eligibility Criteria for APPSC JE Exam 2025

As per the official notification, a minimum of three years’ Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution/university in the subject mentioned against each post.

Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the final year/semester examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply. However, their candidature will finally be accepted on production of proof of having passed the qualifying examination in original on or before the date of interview so fixed by the Commission, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview/Viva-voce.

Age Limit

Not less than 18 years and not exceeding 35 years of age as of 10/10/2025. However, the upper age limit is relaxable in accordance with orders issued by the government of Arunachal Pradesh from time to time.

Age concession in respect of candidates belonging to PwBD and regular Government servants of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh will be as per the government rules and guidelines in force from time to time.

Important Note

  • The number of vacancies and the reservation for APST and PwBD candidates mentioned above are as per the Performa Requisition submitted by the Indenting Requisitioning departments of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Applicants can indicate the preference of the department in the application form. Preference of the department once submitted shall be deemed final, and under no circumstance will the candidates be allowed to change their order of preference at later stage. The merit list of the candidate shall be determined as per the order of preference indicated by the candidate for particular department (s).

Application Fees

  • APST candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty) only for AIST candidates and ₹200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) only for other candidates through online mode only.
  • PWBD candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee as per Section 19 of the Arunachal Pradesh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.

  • Application Start Date: 18.09.2025 (Thursday) from 17:00 hours
  • Last Date to Apply: 10.10.2025 (Friday) before 17:00 hours

HOW TO APPLY

    • Before filling the Online Application Form for the post advertised, a candidate must mandatorily register for ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR)
    • Those who have already registered in OTR need not register again, and they can directly log in to fill out the online form using the same user ID and password.
    • Candidates are required to apply online at https://appsc.gov.in
    • Detailed instructions for One Time Registration (OTR) and Online Application are available on the APPSC website (https://appsc.gov.in).
    • Applicants in Government Service have to upload a copy of the intimation submitted to their respective Heads of Department or NOC issued by the department.
    • The applicants are advised to submit only a single application; however, if due to any unavoidable situation, he/she submits another/multiple applications, the application with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be accepted by the Commission. Therefore, the highest RID application should be complete in all respects. The fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
    • The candidates should carefully fill the requisite details in the online application form. Their admission at all stages of examination, i.e. Written Examination and Viva-voce, will be purely provisional. Any information found to be wrong at any time before or after any stage of examination may lead to cancellation of candidature for Junior Engineer Common Recruitment Examination-2025

 

Exam Pattern of APPSC JE 2025

The eligible candidates will have to appear in the written examination in the following subjects, followed by Viva-Voce to be conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.:

Technical Papers: Civil Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology.

  • The candidate should note that there will be a penalty of 1/6 marks for each wrong answer marked by the candidate.
  • The number of candidates to be invited for the Interview/Viva-Voce shall be about three (03) times the number of advertised vacancies (category/post as applicable), depending on the availability of qualified candidates, as decided accordingly by the Commission, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks.
  • In order to qualify for viva-voce/interview, the candidate should score an aggregate of 33% of the total marks in both papers, subject to the condition that the candidate should score at least 20% in each of the subjects.
  • In order to qualify a PwBD category candidate for viva-voce/interview, the candidate should score an aggregate of 20% of the total marks in both papers, subject to the condition that the candidate should score at least 10% in each of the subjects.
