A subsidiary of Coal India Limited, with its headquarter in Dhanbad, India, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) was incorporated in 1972, to operate coking coal mines in the Jharia and Raniganj Coalfields. BCCL is the major producer of coking coal, both raw and washed in India. While the Medium coking coal is produced in its mines in Mohuda and Barakar areas, Bharat Coking Coal Limited produces hard coke and operates washeries, sand gathering plants, a network of aerial ropeways for transport of sand, and a coal bed methane-based power plant in Moonidih.
BCCL meets almost 50% of the total prime coking coal requirement of the integrated steel sector. The company operates 81 coal mines, out of which 40 are underground, 18 opencast and 23 mixed mines. Along with this the company also runs 6 coking coal washeries, two non-coking coal washeries, one captive power plant (20 MW), and five by-product coke plants. The mines are grouped into 12 areas for administration purposes.

Overseer (Civil), Junior Overman
For the recruitment of Overseer (Civil) in Bharat Coking Coal Limited these are the important details one must know:
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering 3-year diploma in Mining Engineering.
Age Limit: The lower age limit for the position is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 30 years.
Selection Procedure: The selection for the position is a two-step process:
- The first is the Written Test.
- The second step is the Medical Exam.
- Manager, Office Assistant, Cabin Crew, Operations, Commercial, Flight Safety, Training, Finance, Engineering, IT
In order to apply for the above-mentioned positions a candidate must fulfill all the eligibility norms. Along with the requisite educational/Technical qualifications from a recognized university.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed out in their respective degree from the recognized university with the required percentage.
- Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate. and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
- Students awaiting final exam results are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
For the age limit, as specified by the organisation the minimum age of the students must be 20 years and the upper age limit of the eligible candidates must be 30 years (20-30). Years.
A 2 years relaxation is provided to candidates of the OBC category and 5-year relaxation is provided to candidates with SC/ ST category.
