i. Qualifications:

The engineering branches from which candidates can appear in the exam include mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering.

Note: Candidates must have gained the respective qualification from the Indian University/Institute that has received recognition from a notable AICTE/UGC/appropriate statutory authority.

Applicants must state the proportion of marks they received in the relevant qualifying degree. An equivalent percentage of marks must be stated in accordance with the standards established by the university or institute, regardless of whether it awards the CGPA, OGPA, CPI, or letter grade in a qualifying degree. At the time of the interview, candidates must present the necessary documentation—a certificate or documentary proof—from the university or institute to support this claim.

iii. Marks:

The percentage of marks in the qualifying examination is 65%. Candidates who have attempted the final year/semester exams and are yet to receive the result of the qualifying degree must specify the percentage marks up to the last declared result. However, such candidates must have scored the required minimum percentage marks till the last declared result.

According to the most recent criteria released by the Indian government, positions would be reserved for SC, ST, EWS, and PWD candidates (with a disability of 40% or more).

iv. Age limit:

vii. Salary:

During the one-year training period, the monthly emolument is Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) + Accommodation and Transport. If the selected candidate does not have accommodation and transport, then he/she receives an amount of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only). During the training period, additional benefits are given to the student, such as medical allowances in line with current corporate policy, which is subject to change.

On successful completion of training with Engineers India Limited, the relevant departments employ the Management Trainees in the regular pay scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000. After this, the selected candidates need to fulfill the specified probation while serving at EIL.

Upon absorption, besides Basic Pay, the employee is made eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, allowances, and Retirement Benefits as per the Company’s policy applicable from time to time. The candidate’s CTC post-absorption reaches approximately from Rs. 15 Lakhs to Rs. 18 Lakhs per annum. One must remember that the CTC will vary depending on the posting location.
