Bhanu Pratap Singh – AIR 1 Civil Engineering (CE)
Bhanu secured AIR 1 in CE, is a B. Tech graduate from IIT Gandhinagar. He preferred old school learning like offline classes and use of pen and notebook for making notes. He adopted the revision strategy after attending MADE EASY classroom course and advised to make short notes especially for students who are first attempters. 10-15 PYQs of GATE and ESE should be religiously solved to achieve your goal. While giving the GATE exam, it is very important to identify the questions that can be solved rather than wasting your time with questions that couldn’t be solved as it lowers aspirants confidence. Silly mistakes could be avoided if test series are solved as it also manages speed and accuracy well while giving exam.
Rohit Dhondge – AIR 4 Civil Engineering (CE)
Rohit secured 83.03 marks and AIR 4 in GATE exam, began his preparation in 4th year of his graduation. Hailing from Maharashtra, Rohit prefers offline classes and so he moved to Delhi, enrolled in MADE EASY offline classes to begin with his GATE journey. He advises aspiring students to make class notes, short notes, and to practice test series and PYQs which are the most essential study source. Also short notes should be made while attending the classes simultaneously. He suggests avoiding silly mistakes in exams and enhancing the accuracy with practice. Rohit insists on setting your priorities and attending every lecture without fail if the students are seeking for the highest scores in GATE. Set your daily plans, practicing and reviewing the test series, revising short notes were his strengths.
Amar Choudhary- AIR 4 Civil Engineering (CE)
Amar is a graduate from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad in 2023, secured AIR 4 and 83.03 in the GATE exam. Amar is an NST student of MADE EASY and enrolled in MADE EASY classroom course with 30% of scholarship. He began his preparation in the last year of his graduation with MADE EASY postal course and later joined the classes. Offline classes allowed him to be attentive and having a rhythmatic interaction with students and teachers kept him in pace. Although he suggests students to choose any mode of studying whatsoever is doable for them. He recommends students to revise whatever is taught by the teachers after the lecture, and make class notes and short notes simultaneously. GATE Online Test Series and PYQs helped him to cope up with the difficult concepts and revision is the most essential part of the GATE journey. He advised students to be consistent with their number of hours of studying whether it’s the initial or last phase of preparation. From his experience, he also advised students to have a good sleep before the exam so that one can avoid blunder while solving numericals.
Mohammad Shaquib- AIR 6 Civil Engineering (CE)
Shaquib secured 82.64 marks and AIR 6 in the GATE exam, is a IIT Patna 2023 pass out. He preferred an online course over offline as it is convenient for students who are bound with location. He disciplined himself while attending the online classes and avoided everything that can be done during the offline classes. He recommends students to attend live lectures rather than recorded classes as recorded classes have their own drawbacks. Recorded lectures can be paused, have a 2x speed option and can be seen whenever convenient which distracts your concentration level. Solving the test series on a daily basis boosts students’ confidence. He believes that if one starts the preparation in 3rd year of college wholeheartedly, they can have a PSU job within a year. He advises to trust the teachers blindly and revise the short notes to achieve your goal.
Pankaj Meena- AIR 14 Civil Engineering (CE)
Pankaj secured AIR 14 in the GATE exam and is a IIT BHU Varanasi pass out. Pankaj is a Hindi medium GATE aspirant and faced challenges due to language barrier. Though he firmly manages to retain the formulas through the playful tricks. He suggests students to take the pressure of study and revising the classroom notes and questions is very important. One should try to solve the unsolved questions after the classes. He has a trick that suggests dividing the question in two parts- what is given and what shall be derived. He also recommends writing the formulas while solving the PYQs with every question no matter how many times it is being repeated. This helps in retaining the formulas for a longer period of time. He insists on time management and believes in the phrase ‘slow and steady wins the race’.
