Recruitment of Junior Executives through GATE 2024

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Government of India Public Sector Enterprise established by an Act of Parliament, is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining, and managing civil aviation infrastructure both on earth and in the country’s airspace.  AAI has been granted Mini Ratna Category I status.

The Airports Authority of India is accepting online applications for the following positions through its website, www.aai.aero. Eligible candidates should meet the criteria listed below.  No application through any other mode will be accepted.

Note:‐ 

  1. The number of vacancies is tentative and may be increased or decreased at the discretion of Airports Authority of India.
  2. Candidates seeking SC/ST category jobs must submit a Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before 01.05.2024, at the time of application verification.
  3. Candidates belonging to the OBC category but coming in the ‘CREAMY LAYER’ are not eligible for OBC reservation or age relaxation. They should apply in the UNRESERVED category.
  4. Candidates belonging to the OBC (NCL) category will have to produce a valid OBC (NCL) certificate in support of their belonging to the OBC community in the Central list of OBC, in the format for appointment to posts under the Government of India, issued by the Competent Authority in the financial year 2024-25 and containing the Non- Creamy layer clause, at the time Application Verification. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate) for admission to educational purposes will not be considered.
  5. EWS candidates must submit an Income and Asset certificate valid for the financial year 2024-25 issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as per OM No.36039/1/2019‐Estt (Res) dated 31.01.19 of DoPT, Ministry of PPG&P, Govt. of India, at the time of application verification.
  6. Candidates seeking openings reserved for the PwBD category should be aware that they must submit a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before May 1, 2024, following government requirements, at the time of application verification.
  7. Ex-servicemen candidates must provide a discharge certificate during application verification.
  8. All certifications, including experience certificates, issued by the Competent Authority must be in either Hindi or English. Any variance in caste name in case certificates will not be accepted. For certificates issued in any language other than Hindi/English, a translated copy of the same duly attested by a Notary is to be submitted.

Note:‐ 

  1. The degree must be from a recognized/deemed university or an apex institution, such as IIT/IIM/IIMS/XLRI/TISS, etc., recognized by the Government of India. Degrees/diplomas (as the case may be) obtained in open and distance modes from UGC-accredited universities/AICTE-approved courses, wherever applicable, shall be considered.
  2. Percentage of marks: Pass marks or equivalent for bachelors and P.G. degrees/diplomas.
  3. Candidates with a B.E./B. Tech/B. Sc. (Engg.) degree are eligible to apply for the position that requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  4. Candidates enrolled in the last semester (where the semester system is applicable) or final year (where the system is applicable) on the cut-off date are eligible to apply, subject to the condition that they must have a final result at the time of Application Verification, failing which, their candidature will not be considered for further process.
  5. The date of declaration of result/issuance of Mark Sheet shall be considered to be the date of acquiring the qualification and there shall be no relaxation on this account.
  6. Candidate must specifically indicate the percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application. Where the percentage of marks is not awarded by the University but only CGPA/OGPA/DGPA/CPI etc. or letter grade in a degree is awarded, the same shall be converted into percentage in terms of conversion norms of the University in this regard. The candidate will have to produce the equivalent certificate/document issued by the  University ensuring an equivalent percentage of marks when called for Application Verification.
  7. No claim of possession of a qualification equivalent to the prescribed qualification shall be entertained.  AAI reserves the right to make a final decision in considering an Engineering discipline as eligible in cases different from those mentioned above.
  8. Where a specialization is required in the qualifying degree in the educational qualification, the candidate is required to produce an order/letter indicating the issuing  Authority  (with letter number and date)  clearly specifying the specialization in the qualifying degree.    However, the final decision regarding the selection of such candidates will be taken by the Airports Authority of India.
  9. In the case of an Integrated Master’s Degree in Engineering, the candidate will have to produce a certificate at the time of Application Verification in support of the possession of the Graduate Degree and a statement of marks issued by the University/Institution.

3. Age Limit & Relaxation

a)  Age Limit: 

Maximum age 27 years as on:‐ 01/05/2024.

b) Relaxation in Age  

  1. The upper age restriction is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants. Vacancies reserved for the OBC category are meant for candidates belonging to the ‘Non-creamy layer’ as per the Govt. of India guidelines on the subject.
  2. PwBD candidates with a certificate of disability granted by the competent authority on or before 01.05.2024, can have their upper age relaxed by 10 years if the position is acceptable for their disability category.
  3. Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India rules issued periodically.
  4. For regular Airports Authority of India employees who have completed their probation period, the upper age limit can be relaxed by up to 10 years.
  5. The date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination certificates will only be accepted. No subsequent requests for a change in date of birth will be entertained.

5. Remuneration

i) Pay Scale (IDA)

Junior Executive [Group‐B: E‐1 level]   Rs.40000‐3%‐140000

ii)  Emoluments:

In addition to Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, increment @ 3% of   Basic Pay per annum, Perks @ 35%  of Basic Pay, HRA, and other benefits which include CPF, Gratuity, Social Security Schemes, Medical  Benefits, etc., are admissible as per AAI rules.

The Cost to the Company per annum would be around Rs. 13 lakhs approximately.

Note: Pay protection will be provided to eligible candidates who are coming through proper channels from other CPSEs/State PSUs/Govt. Dept. immediately before joining Airports Authority of India. Such pay protection will be provided as per DPE Guidelines.

 6. How to apply for Recruitment of Junior Executives through GATE 2024?

Candidates are advised to read the following instructions carefully before applying online and also all the instructions given on the main instruction page of the online application. Candidate has to ensure filling up of correct information.  In case of filling up of wrong  /invalid information/  incomplete application/application without application fee as the case may be, the application will be summarily rejected.

  1. Only Indian Nationals fulfilling eligibility criteria shall apply for the above posts.
  2. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other  norms mentioned in the Advertisement and possesses the eligibility-related documents as per the  requirements mentioned in this advertisement
  3. He/she may cross-check the information, such as Date of Birth, Category, Sub‐Category [SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS/Ex-serviceman],  Gender,  Email  ID, Mobile  Number furnished in the application form before finally submitting the same as no correction would be possible and will not be changed later under any circumstances.
  4. Candidates are required to apply Online through the link available on  www.aai.aero  under the tab  “CAREERS”.    No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted under any circumstances.
  5. Only those candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria and have appeared in GATE 2024  can apply.
  6. Before applying ONLINE, the candidate will have to register his/her email ID and mobile number on the online portal. Once registered, the email id and mobile number cannot be changed. Communications to the candidates shall be made on their registered email ID/ mobile number. Therefore, their email ID and mobile number must be valid and  should remain active until the recruitment process is Requests for a change of e‐mail ID and mobile number will not be entertained.
  7. Before starting to fill up the online application, the candidates should keep at hand, the following details/documents/information:
  • His/her educational qualification details with percentage of marks/GATE Score Card etc., as per eligibility criteria.
  • His/her personal details.
  • His/her Caste/Category Certificate (for ST/SC/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Disability, Apprentice Certificate from AAI, etc.)
  • His/her Discharge Certificate in case of Ex‐Serviceman Candidates.
  • His/her scanned copy of the latest passport-size colored photograph (not more than 03 months old) and signature (as per dimensions given below).  Three copies of the same photograph should be retained for use at the time of Application Verification. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the recruitment process is complete.
  • Details/documents to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/intimation charges. ∙ Any other details/documents required relating to eligibility criteria.
  1. Candidates should enter their  Name,  Father’s  Name, and  Date of  Birth as recorded in the  Matriculation certificate only. In case of a subsequent change in Name, candidates should indicate their changed  Name only in the  Online    However,  other details should match with the  Matriculation Certificate. Gazette Notification or any other legal document as applicable should be submitted at the time of Application Verification.
  2. Candidate must mention his/ her correct GATE‐2024 registration number as appearing in GATE Admit Card‐2024.
  3. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date of application mentioned in this Advertisement and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the  AAI’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam/disconnection.  AAI does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of Airports Authority of India.
  4. After submitting the online application, the candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted online application and retain the same with them.
  5. Candidates are not required to submit either by post or through email any document or their online application form.
  6. Candidates are advised not to respond to unscrupulous advertisements appearing in any newspaper/websites/mobile apps    For authenticity of any information,  candidates may visit detailed advertisements available on the Airports Authority of India website www.aai.aero only.

7. Application Fee and Mode of Remittance 

  • The application fee of Rs.300/‐ (Rs. Three Hundred only) is payable online only. Fees submitted by any other method will not be accepted. However, SC/ST/PwBD candidates/Apprentices who have successfully completed one year of Apprenticeship training at AAI/Female candidates are excused from paying the cost.
  • The application form integrates with the payment gateway, and the  payment  process  can  be  completed by following the given instructions:
  • After hitting the submit button, the candidate will be directed to the SBI MOPS Payment Portal. Candidates must pay the required examination fees online using Internet Banking/Debit/Credit Card. Any charges/commissions applicable for the selected ‘Mode of Payment‘ will be borne by the candidate.
  • After the Payment is completed, the candidate shall be automatically redirected to the application portal. Candidates may take a printout of the submitted application and it is advised to keep it with them for future reference. There is no need to send the printout to Airports Authority of India Office.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded under any    Duplicate payments,  if any,  will be refunded after the closing date of submission of applications.
  • To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed.

8. General Instructions 

  1. No experience is essential to apply for the above posts.
  2. Before submitting the application,  the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility criteria as laid down in this. The candidature will be purely provisional,  subject to eligibility and verifications before/after his/her appointment in AAI.
  3. All correspondence regarding this recruitment shall be made on the registered email. The candidates are requested to check regularly their e‐mail/AAI’s website for any communication from  Airports Authority of India.
  4. Candidates are required to furnish an Affidavit in case of any discrepancy in name of self, parents or address, etc. in any of the requisite documents.
  5. A temporary correspondence address should not be mentioned as the permanent address to avoid any loss in receiving communication at any stage.
  6. The decision of  AAI  Management regarding the eligibility criteria,  acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection to the post, etc. shall be final and irrevocable. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualification and other eligibility criteria will not vest any right on candidates for being called for Application Verification.
  7. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates found to be ineligible and not called for Application Verification or for non‐selection.
  8. Airports Authority of India will not bear any liability on account of Salary/ leave salary/ pension contribution etc., if any, of previous employment of any candidate already working in  Government/Semi  Government/Public  Sector Undertaking.
  9. Information on AAI website only: All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e‐mail and all general information/subsequent changes if any, made in the recruitment advertisement shall be provided through the AAI  website aai.aero only.  Responsibility for receiving,  downloading and printing of call letter for Application Verification/offer of appointment/any other information shall be of the candidate.  Airports Authority of India will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to an invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate or for delay/non‐receipt of information if a candidate fails to access his/her mail/website in time.    Hence,  the candidates are advised to visit their email account/AAI website regularly for further updates.
  10. In case of any process violation by the candidate or if any information provided by the candidate is found false or is not found in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement, the candidature of such registered candidates is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after recruitment/joining.  If such instances go undetected during the current selection process but are detected subsequently, such disqualification will take place with retrospective effect.
  11. The court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be in Delhi.
  12. No query seeking advice on eligibility will be entertained.
  13. The decision of  Airports Authority of India concerning all matters about this recruitment would be final and irrevocable for all candidates.
  14. AAI reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/enlarge/cancel the recruitment process,  if the need so arises,  without issuing any further notice or assigning any further notice/  reasons    The decision of the AAI Management will be final and no appeal will be entertained in this regard.
  15. Airports Authority of India reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards as well as the right to fill or not to fill all or any of the above-given vacancies without assigning any reason whatsoever.  p) No separate communication will be issued regarding results except to the selected candidates.
  16. The possibility of the occurrence of some problem in the administration of the recruitment cannot be ruled out completely, which may impact the selection process.  In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such a problem, which may include scrapping the recruitment, if considered necessary.
