All about Airports Authority of India (AAI)
Airports Authority of India, the Miniratna Public Sector Unit (PSU), is a statutory body, working under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is responsible for creating, maintaining, upgrading, and managing the civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI also provides Air Traffic Management/Communication Navigation Surveillance services over the Indian Airspace as well as adjoining oceanic areas.
At present Airports Authority of India is currently managing 137 airports, which include 23 international airports, 81 Domestic airports, 23 Civil Enclaves at Defence Airfields, and 10 customer Airports. Apart from that, AAI also has ground installations to ensure the safety of aircraft operations at all airports and some 25 other locations.
Organizational structure
With its headquarters at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi, Airports Authority of India also operates from its Five Regional Headquarters namely-

1. Junior Executive (Air Traffic Control)
Educational Qualifications: Regular full-time Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or full-time regular Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B. Tech) in the disciplines of Electronics/Telecommunications/ Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks.
The candidate shall have minimum proficiency in both spoken and written English of the level of 10+2 standard. He/she shall also attain the ICAO language minimum proficiency level 4 (operational) for the purpose of issuing of license or rating. Any candidate who is not able to attain ICAO proficiency level 4 or above during the training, his /her services are liable to be terminated.

Work Profile:The work of an AAI Junior Executive (ATC) is centered around executing proper functioning of the Airport Traffic and its Control and includes tasks such as Monitoring and maintenance of the computer systems and networks of an organization, Installation, and configuration of computer systems.
2. Junior Executive (Civil):
Educational Qualifications: The candidate applying for the position of Junior Executive should have a Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized/deemed university or from an apex institution, i.e., IIT recognized by the Government of India.
