HAL Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 120 Management & Design Trainee Posts

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has announced 120 vacancies for MT and DT posts. The vacancies are split into 60 Management Trainee (MT) and 60 Design Trainee (DT) posts. It is spread across production units, R&D centres and offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nashik, Lucknow, Kanpur, Koraput, Tumakuru, Barrackpore and Korwa.

The application window opened on 29 July 2026 and closed on 14 August 2026. The starting stipend was INR 50,000 per month to a post-training pay scale up to INR 1.60 Lakhs.

HAL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

HAL applies a strict 10+2+4 academic pattern and a 70% aggregate cut-off for general-category candidates. Let us see the complete breakdown given below: 

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Regular/Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (BE/BTech) in the relevant discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognized university or institution. 

  • The degree must be completed under the 10+2+4 pattern or 10+3+3 for lateral entry candidates. 
  • Correspondence, distance mode, part time and integrated dual degree are not accepted. 
  • Final-year students are also eligible given that they meet the cut off. They must also be able to produce the degree proof before the interview

HAL 2026 Selection Process 

The CBT carries 85% weightage in the final merit list. Check out the HAL CBT selection process given below:

  • Personal Interview (Bangaluru)– 1:5 ratio
