NHAI Deputy Manager Recruitment 2026 through GATE 2025 Score

The National Highways Authority of India, popularly known as NHAI, has released an official notification for the recruitment of talented and hardworking candidates for the post of Deputy Manager through the GATE 2025 scorecard. The National Highways Authority of India is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Recently, NHAI has released a notification for the recruitment of the Deputy Manager post on the basis of the GATE 2025 score. The total vacancies under this recruitment are 40, out of which 20 posts are for unreserved-category candidates. The rest of the posts are for reserved-category candidates. Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have a valid GATE 2025 score in Civil Engineering. Aspirants should note that only candidates with a valid GATE 2025 scorecard are eligible for this recruitment. The upper age limit for NHAI Deputy Manager Recruitment is 30 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxable as per the instructions of the Government of India. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.

Note:
- The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum, and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be considered for appointment or interview.
- In the event of the number of applications being large, NHAI will adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates for interaction/interview, if called, to a reasonable number by any method to be decided by the Selection Committee.
- In case of direct recruitment made by the Authority, the merit of candidates having the same rank in the merit list shall be determined on the basis of their date of birth; the person born earlier shall be placed higher in the merit list. If the date of birth of such candidates is also the same, the merit shall be determined in the order of the first letter of the English alphabet of their initial names.

Note:
- The crucial date for determination of eligibility for posts to be filled through Direct Recruitment shall be the last date, including the extended date, if any, prescribed for the receipt of online applications.
- All the concessions mentioned above will be concurrent i.e. If a person is eligible for more than one concession, only one of the concessions of the highest permissible limit will be granted.
Important Conditions
- A candidate will be eligible to get the benefit of community reservation only in case the particular caste to which the candidate belongs is included in the list of reserved communities issued by the Central Government.
- The OBC candidates applying for this post should submit OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued during the Financial Year (FY) 2025–2026 [issued on or after 01.04.2025].
- Further the OBC certificate should also clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer as defined by the Government of India for applying to posts and services under the Central Government.
- A candidate will be eligible to get the benefit of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation only in case the candidate meets the criteria issued by the Central Government and is in possession of requisite Income & Asset Certificate based on income for Financial Year (FY) 2024-2025 issued on or after 01.04.2025.
- Candidate’s seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS, shall have to produce/submit a certificate in the prescribed proforma ONLY, meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order/instructions etc. under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC. They must also ensure that the name of their caste/community and its spelling in their caste/community certificate should be exactly as mentioned in the lists notified by the central government from time to time (for OBC category list of castes recognized by the Govt. of India as OBC castes in the central list is available on the site www.ncbc.nic.in, for ST category the list caste for each state is available on the site www.ncst.nic.in and for SC category the list of castes for each state is available on the site https://socialjustice.gov.in/). A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.
- Candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits available for SC/ST/OBCNCL/EWS/PwBD must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation/relaxation as per eligibility prescribed in the relevant Rules/instructions. They should also be in possession of all the requisite certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim as stipulated in the relevant rules/instructions for such benefits.
- No change in the community status already indicated in the on-line application by a candidate for this post will be allowed.
- The formats of certificates for availing reservation under SC/ST/OBCNCL/EWS/PwBD categories, to be submitted by the candidates are enclosed. Application not supported by valid certificates will be summarily rejected. However, if the candidate possesses the caste certificate in different format, as prescribed by the State/UT Government, the candidate may upload the certificate, as issued by the State/UT Government concerned. However, the candidate is required to submit the caste certificate in the format prescribed by NHAI, as and when the same is required by this Authority. Hence, the candidates are advised to obtain the caste certificates in the prescribed format.
- Candidates who fail to submit valid caste/category certificates as per requirement of this advertisement will not be considered for reservation and the candidature of such candidates, if fulfilling all the eligibility conditions of Un-reserved (UR) category, will be considered against the UR vacancy only.

- The Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates should possess a latest Disability Certificate issued by a Competent Authority certifying that the degree of disability is not less than 40% of the specified disability. Such certificate shall be subject to verification/re- verification, as may be decided by the Authority.

The candidates are advised to submit the Online Recruitment Application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
NHAI Deputy Manager Salary
Selected candidates will get a salary as per Level 10 of the 7th Pay Matrix (₹56,100-₹1,77,500) along with Central Dearness Allowances (CDA). Candidates will also get other perks like HRA, TA, and medical facilities as per the rules of the organization.
Service Bond
All the selected candidates will have execute a service bond for amount of Rs. 5.00 lakh for serving in NHAI for 3 years before joining the post of Deputy Manager in Authority.
In the event of their resigning from the service of the Authority before the expiry of the bond period
OR
In case of termination of their service on account of their misconduct within 3 years of their joining NHAI, such candidates will be liable to pay an amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs to NHAI.
Note: NHAI does not entertain transfer of service bonds in case of selected candidates who are working in any other Government Organization.

Candidates have to apply online. The online application procedure is given below.
- The applicant may visit NHAI website http://www.nhai.gov.in for applying Online. It may be accessed on Google Chrome or Mozila Firefox.
- Click on the tab About Us → Recruitment → Vacancies →Current → Click on the advertisement of Deputy Manager (Technical) →Online Application. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application.
- Fill up the form and furnish the requisite information.
Following documents are required to be uploaded:
- Photograph – Scanned copy of colour passport size photograph in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.
- Signature – Scanned copy of signature in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.
- Class X Certificate indicating date of birth in only ‘pdf’ image types not exceeding 2 MB.
- Caste/Category Certificate in support of SC/ST/OBCNCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen (as per prescribed format attached) in only ‘pdf’ types not exceeding 2 MB.
- A certificate in support of passing in Degree in Civil Engineering in only ‘pdf’ image types not exceeding 2 MB.
- GATE Score Card 2025 in only ‘pdf’ image not exceeding 2 MB
- Click ‘Next’ button.
- Application Preview may be seen.
- Option of ‘Edit’ and final Submit button, are also available.
- If the Applicant is satisfied with the information furnished, click “Submit” button for submitting the application form Online. The application form Online may be submitted by 09.02.2025 (6:00 PM).
- After submission of Application Form, a “Unique Reference Number” along with details entered by the Applicant with subject “Application Acknowledgement” will be generated automatically.
- Automatically generated “Application Acknowledgement” would be sent to the E-mail id provided by the Applicant.
- The applicant is required to keep a copy of “Application Acknowledgement” in safe custody for producing / submitting to NHAI along with supporting documents in respect of entries made by applicant with regard to his / her date of birth / educational qualification / SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS certificate (if applicable)/PwBD certificate/Other supporting documents (viz. experience certificate, NOC from the employer, etc.), if applicable.
Important Conditions:
- The applicants are advised to fill the ONLINE application form carefully in accordance with the eligibility criteria and experience mentioned above. It may be noted that the entire selection process shall be carried out on the basis of the entries made by the applicant in his / her application form and no request shall be entertained under any circumstances for any alteration / modification / change in the entries made by the applicant in the application form.
- The post carries all India service liability. Therefore, those who are willing to serve anywhere in India may only apply.
- It may be noted that in case of multiple application filled by the applicant, NHAI will consider only the last application filled by the applicant and the entries made therein shall be taken into consideration for processing the recruitment for the said post. Accordingly, the earlier application(s) submitted by the applicant shall be summarily rejected. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the NHAI shall be final. Applicants are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.
- The applicants who apply for the post with respect to this advertisement shall not be allowed to withdraw his/her candidature subsequently.
- Canvassing or bringing influence in any form will disqualify the candidature.
- The candidates must upload either the degree certificate or provisional degree certificate clearly indicating passing of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering on or before the last date of receipt of online applications. If the candidate fails to upload the degree certificate/provisional certificate, his candidature will not be considered for the post. Mere uploading of marksheet of all semesters will not suffice. The candidate has to upload the degree certificate or provisional degree certificate mandatorily indicating passing of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, failing which his/her candidature for the above post shall be cancelled without any further communication.
