  1. Be Determined: A strong determination toward what you choose will take you a long way. Firstly, before setting up your journey for GATE 2024 you need to determine your path and set a goal so that you focus in the right direction.
  2. Start Early: As sufficient time has passed since the GATE 2024 notification release; you need to start your journey (if you have not already) for GATE 2024 preparation without any further procrastination. The reason is that the syllabus is vast and time is limited. Every single minute matters. In addition, commencing early preparation will help you gain an edge over others by helping you cover your syllabus on time and ensuring that you have proper time for revision.
  3. Time Table: A pre-defined timetable will help you establish your goals more easily and comfortably while preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. You must keep track of your preparation in the best possible manner. Therefore, you must create a timetable defining your current and future goals, so that you can easily move towards your goal of acquiring a top rank in such competitive exams.
  4. Know the syllabus well: Several changes have been reflected in the syllabus associated with the GATE 2024 notification. Therefore, you also need to ensure that you have properly read and understood the exam syllabus to ensure that you do not miss any important topics.
  5. Choice of books (resources): Experts specify that before starting the GATE 2024 preparation, the aspirants start accumulating resources (books), thinking that more books or study material will be beneficial for fruitful preparation. However, we need to break this myth. You must prioritize quality over quantity. If you are overwhelmed with the different GATE-related sources available, you can opt for the MADE EASY books. The authors and experts have designed each book in such a way that the study material synchronizes with the latest syllabus and exam pattern.
  6. Previous Year Questions (PYQs): The birth of PYQs is a blessing for GATE 2024. It is because these papers help you understand the nature of the respective exam pattern. You can easily understand how question paper creators convert the simplest of questions into complex ones with detailed analysis. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you make it a priority to solve the previous years’ question papers in a proper routine to get a grip on the respective exam pattern.
  7. Work on developing concepts: If you build and possess a strong conceptual base, you can easily understand and tackle any kind of question. Be it Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Numerical Answer Type (NAT), or the newly added Multiple Select Questions (MCQs). It will help you improve your GATE scores in each segment. Therefore, instead of just memorizing the topics you read, work on understanding and developing the concepts to sail through the competition.
  8. Test Series: One of the vital resources that contribute to your GATE 2024 preparation is the test series. Attempting the routine test series for the GATE entrance exam helps you determine your strengths and areas of opportunity. In this way, you can understand the areas you need to work on. It is highly recommended to take the test series in an exam-based environment to overcome the GATE 2024 exam fear and become confident with the level of preparation.
  9. Learn from your mistakes: Mistakes are the biggest teachers. You need to ensure that each time you commit an error, you make a note of it and understand what went wrong. In this way, you can prevent possible errors in the GATE entrance exam. It is one of the most ignored yet beneficial GATE preparation tips, which you must focus on during your GATE 2024 preparation.
  10. Recreational Activities: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy; the same statement goes true for competitive exam preparation as well. If you are indulged in studies and not giving time to your mind and body to relax, the outcome will slowly start dropping. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you take out enough time each day to allow your body and mind to rejuvenate properly. The activities may include Yoga, listening to your favorite music, going for a walk, meditation, or anything else of your interest. You can pick up some activities that connect your studies with your exam prep. In this way, you can stay on track during your GATE exam preparation.
  11. Revision: Revision plays a major role in the preparation of any examination, including GATE 2024 preparation, as it helps you identify your strong areas and areas of improvement so that you can work around them. Along with revision, what matters most is a systematic revision, and what’s your revision strategy during the last phase of the examination? Many aspirants will just try to mug up everything they have left. In the later stages, they will just end up overburdening themselves, which affects their results. So, it always becomes important that you get guidance from the industry leaders and experts who have gone through this phase, as “Experience is the best teacher“.
