Age Limit
- Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years, on the last date of submission of application to the Commission, i.e., as on 12.02.2026.
- The Matriculation certificate or equivalent academic certificate thereto is the only acceptable document for evidence of age.
- However, Relaxation in maximum age as per Government instructions dated 25.03.2022, for various categories is available as under: –

Essential Qualifications
The essential qualification provided in Rule-7(a) of Punjab Service of Engineers Class-II, PWD (Public Health) Rules, 1966 is as under: –
- In case a person appointed by a directed appointment-
(i)possesses one of the degrees of a recognized university or other institution, qualifications prescribed in Appendix B.
(ii)obtains from the standing Medical Board a certificate of mental and physical fitness after being examined in accordance with the regulations prescribed in Appendix C, and is considered by the Medical Authority to be fit in all respects for active outdoor duties.
(iii) is a person with satisfactory character and antecedents, verification in respect of which shall be arranged through an appropriate Government agency, except in cases where such verification may have already been made at the time of his entry into Government service.
- Hindi / Sanskrit up to Matric or Higher Standard.
Salary of HPSC AE (Civil)
As per the official notification, successful candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 9, with a salary ranging from ₹53,100 to ₹1,67,800.
Important Note
- The candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering from any University recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE.
- The candidates who possess a degree through distance education mode would not be considered eligible to apply for the said post.
- The candidates who enrolled in AMIE before 31.05.2013 and cleared the examination would be considered eligible to apply for the said post.
- The qualifications of these posts are as per the relevant Service Rules & requisition. The candidates should ensure that they possess the qualifications mentioned in the advertisement. No claim of any candidate regarding equivalent qualifications would be considered.
