Bharat Electronics Limited, in total, has 232 vacancies, including HR and Accounts Officer. 205 posts are engineering posts.

Qualification

Candidates applying for the Probationary Engineer post under UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates with first class in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate from AICTE approved Colleges in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication / Mechanical / Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering.

Candidates with first class in AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply. SC/ST/PwBD candidates with Pass class in the above degree/disciplines are eligible to apply.

Note: Other equivalent disciplines will NOT be considered.

Calculation of the percentage of marks in the qualifying degree would be governed by Institute/University rules.

Wherever final marks in the qualifying degree have been awarded as letter grade (CGPA/GPI/SGPA etc.), an equivalent percentage of marks shall be adopted from the conversion formula issued by the respective Institute/University for establishing eligibility criteria. Such candidates would be required to submit the conversion certificate issued by the concerned Institute/University at the time of the Interview if shortlisted. Failure to submit the conversion certificate will result in disqualification of candidature.

 

Age Criteria

The maximum age limit for unreserved candidates as on the crucial date 01.09.2023 will be 25 years for the post of Probationary Engineer. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.

In respect of PwBD candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years. In respect of PwBD candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL) category, the age relaxation admissible will be in addition to the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL).

A certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation/Higher Secondary mentioning the date of birth shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.

In case of non-availability of the date of birth in the Matriculation/Higher Secondary school certificate and Birth certificate issued by competent authorities will be considered.

For getting the benefits of reservation under the OBC (NCL) category

  1. The name of the caste to which the candidate belongs must appear in the Central List of Other Backward Classes of the respective state as notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India for appointment to posts under GOI and Central Govt. Public Sector Undertakings.
  2. Candidates should be able to produce caste certificates issued by the competent authority on or after 01.09.2022 in the latest prescribed format applicable for the purpose of reservation in appointment to posts under the Government of India/Central Government /Public Sector Undertaking.
  3. The certificate must contain the date of the issue along with the name of the caste, spelled exactly in the same manner as appearing in the central list.
  4. The OBC category candidates who belong to “CREAMY LAYER” are not entitled for OBC (NCL) concession/reservation and such candidates shall have to apply as “Unreserved” category candidates.

For getting the benefits of reservation under SC/ST category:

  1. The name of the caste/tribe to which the candidate belongs must appear in the Central List of SC/ST of the respective state as notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.
  2. The caste certificate must contain the date of issue along with the name of the caste.
  3. The candidates need to furnish their SC/ST certificate as per the latest format prescribed by the Government of India.

For getting the benefits of reservation under EWSs category:

  1. Candidate shall be in passion of the requisite Income and Asset Certificate based on income for FY 2021-2022 and issued on or after 01.04.2022 (after completion of FY 2021-2022).
  2. The applicant’s photo on the certificate should be duly pasted, signed, and stamped by the issuing authority.

To get the benefit of reservation under the PwBD category: The candidate should meet the following criteria to claim relaxation/reservation under the PwBD category

  • Nature of Disability – Permanent
  • Degree of Disability – Minimum 40%
  • PwBD certificate as per the latest format applicable to the relevant category of disability.
  • In respect of PwBD candidate’s upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years. In respect of PwBD candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC (NCL) category, the age relaxation admissible will be in addition to the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL). In respect of Persons with Benchmark Disability, the degree of disability that the candidate should have for consideration under the category will be as prescribed by Government norms.

For getting the benefits of reservation under the Ex-servicemen category:

  1. Relaxation will be extended as per Govt. guidelines in respect of Ex-Servicemen.
  2. Candidate needs to submit Annexure-3 in the prescribed format which is signed by the competent authority.

Application Fee

  • Candidates belonging to GEN/EWS/OBC (NCL) category are required to pay an application fee of ₹ 1000/- + GST, i.e. ₹ 1180/-.
  • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.

 

Last Date of Application

The last date for applying online is 28.10.2023

 

Method of Selection

  1. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and submitting the online application will be shortlisted for the computer-based test (CBT).
  2. The candidates for the interview will be chosen based on their performance in the computer-based test.
  3. Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in both the CBT and interview.
  4. Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications are accepted are required to log on to the BEL website and enter their credentials to access and download their computer-based test call letter. Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein. Please note that call letters will not be sent through e-mail or through conventional mail.

  5. Candidates, whose applications are accepted through the process of submission of online applications, are eligible to attend the computer-based test at the respective center. The call letters will be uploaded on the BEL website.

 

Computer Based Test

The computer-based test will be conducted in the list of centers mentioned in the detailed advertisement. Candidates should choose the closest five test centers. Test centers will be allocated according to the availability and no candidate is allowed to ask for change in the test center. No cost of travel will be reimbursed to the candidates attending the computer-based test.

The computer-based Test will be objective type from engineering in the respective disciplines/specializations and General Aptitude. A list of candidates will be on the BEL website who will be shortlisted for an interview based on the CBT. Candidates have to be available for the interview for final selection. The results of the final selection will be available on the Bharat Electronics Limited website through query mode.

 

Short Listing Procedure

To pass the computer-based test, candidates from the General/OBC (NCL), EWS, and ESM categories must receive a minimum score of 35%, while those from the SC/ST and PwBD categories must receive a minimum score of 30%.

Based on the CBT Score, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit in the ratio of 1:5.

 

How to apply?

  1. Candidates are advised to apply and submit the application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online.
  2. Bharat Electronics Limited will not be responsible for any delays for the submission of online application.
  3. Retain your printout application and payment acknowledgment slip for future reference.
  4. Do not send a hard copy of the application or any other documents to the BEL office.
  5. Candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement thoroughly before applying online for the position.
  6. Before filling out the online application, candidates should have a valid email ID, contact number, a scanned copy of a recent colored passport photo, and scanned signatures.
  7. Candidates must take care of providing the details while applying. One cannot edit the information before submission of the application.
  8. No fee will be refunded or withdrawn once paid.
  9. The first step in applying is ‘Sign up’, where candidates are expected to provide their name, contact details, email address, and desired post applied for.
  10. Further, the candidates have to log in and click on ‘go to application’. Details such as Personal Details, Qualification Details, and Upload photo/signature are required to fill in the application.
  11. Click the ‘preview’ button to view the details entered.
  12. Once the application is submitted, candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway.
  13.  As the details are submitted, fees will be accepted online through Debit card, Credit cards or Internet Banking/UPI, etc. through SBI e-Pay Lite.
  14. The candidates should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria and other conditions as specified in this advertisement and that the particulars furnished by them in the online application are complete and correct in all respects.
  15. Suppression of any fact may lead to termination of candidature at any stage of the selection process or during employment if selected. Furnishing false information or concealment/suppression of factual information may render the candidate unfit for employment.
