Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Technical Officers. Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an Application Fee (Non-refundable) of Rs.100/-only (Rupees One Hundred only). Payment must be made through SBI payment gateway only available at CIMFR website www.cimfr.nic.in. After making necessary payment, the candidate must enclose the web generated slip along with the application form.

The candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PWD/CSIR Permanent Employees category are exempted from submission of application fee

Selection Process:

Mere fulfilment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for Trade Test/Written Test. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification supported with documents. Any further change will be informed by Web Notice only.

Age limit/Relaxation:

  1. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC as per Government of India orders in force. Only in those cases where the post are reserved for respective categories, on production of self-attested copy of relevant certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority which needs to be produced in original at the time of Trade/Skill Test.
  2. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 5 (five years) for the regular employees working in CSIR laboratories/ Institutes, Government Departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings.
  3. As per GOI provisions, age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from Husbands, the upper age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years (upto 40 years for members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and upto 38 years for members belonging to the Other Backward Classes in respect of the posts reserved for them). For Widows, divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from their Husbands who are not remarried.

The persons claiming age relaxation under this sub-para would be required to produce following documentary evidence:

  1. In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with the Affidavit that she has not remarried since.
  2. In case of divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their husbands, a certified copy of the judgment/decree of the appropriate Court to prove the fact of divorce or the judicial separation, as the case may be, with an Affidavit in respect of divorced Women and they have not remarried since
  3. Age relaxation to Persons with Disabilities (PWD) is permissible as per GoI orders issued from time to time. The persons claiming age relaxation under this sub-Para would be required to produce a certificate in prescribed proforma in support of their claims clearly indicating that the degree of physical disability is 40% or more. In any case, the appointment of these candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in accordance with the standards of medical fitness as prescribed by the Government for each individual posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment by Selection.
  4. Relaxation in age, over and above the stipulated limit, educational qualification and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates or if sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisite qualification and/or experience are not available to fill up the posts.
  5. SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates are required to produce original certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority at the time of Trade/Skill Test. The OBC candidate should produce the certificate valid for appointment to post under the Central Government as per latest instructions issued by the DOPT (GOI).
  6. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and /or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of applications i.e. 02/12/2020.

Application Process

  1. Eligible candidates may visit CIMFR Website www.cimfr.nic.in and download the Application Form. Application in the prescribed format may be submitted on A4 size thick/Xerox paper
  2. In case of University/Institute, awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc. candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per guidelines of the University/Institute. Candidates are required to give the conversion formula, as per their university/institute guidelines.
  3. The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of the relevant educational qualification, experience. The prescribed qualifications should have been obtained through recognized Universities / Institutions etc. Incomplete applications received or not accompanied with the required certificates / documents are liable to be rejected.
  4. The candidates must produce his/her ORIGINAL mark sheet and Provisional pass certificate, age and/or experience and caste/community certificate etc. at the time of Examination for verification. The candidates are requested to ensure while filling up the Application Form that any discrepancy found between the information given in the Application and as evident in original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing in examination and subsequent appointment.
  5. The Candidate after filling the Application Form must sign the same and send it along with the web generated slip of online payment & other essential enclosures in an envelope super scribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF____________ (Post Code:_______), Advt. No_______ by Registered/Speed Post only to “The Administrative Officer, Central Institute of Mining & Fuel Research, Barwa Road, Dhanbad – 826001 (JHARKHAND)” so as to reach this office on or before 02/12/2020 by 5.30 PM.
  6. Applications from candidate working in Government Departments, Autonomous bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders, if selected. Vigilance clearance should also be recorded in such cases. However, advance copy of the application may be submitted on or before the closing date. Applications routed through proper channel duly completed in all respect, should reach CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad within 15 days after the last date of receipt of application.
  7. The Candidate must enclose two self-addressed Envelope with Rs.22/- (Rupees Twenty Two only) postal stamp on each of them along with the application form, otherwise the application will be treated as incomplete and rejected.
