Recruitment of Stipendiary Trainee and Scientific Assistant (ST/SA)

NPCIL Recruitment 2020: NPCIL, a premier Public Sector Enterprise under Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. It has comprehensive capability in all facets of Nuclear Technology namely, Site Selection, Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operation, Maintenance, Renovation, Modernization & Upgradation, Plant Life Extension, Waste Management and Decommissioning of Nuclear Reactors in India under one roof, invites applications for the following posts at “Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site” to share these challenging spectrum of responsibilities:

1- Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA)— Diploma Holders in Engineering 1. Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation
Or Electronics Engineering recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Diploma in Engineering should be of 3
Year’s duration after SSC / HSC.2. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level
Examination.Note* Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. However, Candidates who have Pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.
During 1st year of training stipend of Rs. 16000/- Per Month. During 2nd year of training “stipend of Rs.18000/- Per Month.

After successful completion of training, the trainees are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Scientific Assistant’ B (Group-B) in the pay of Rs. 35400/ in level 6 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Additional increments, as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted.

2-Scientific Assistant/ C (Safety Supervisor and Civil) Safety Supervisor:

Essential Qualification:
1. Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc.
2. One year Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety. (Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Engineering / B.Sc.)
3. Minimum 04 years of industrial experience in relevant field after obtaining requisite qualification.

Note: Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 50% or above marks are also eligible. However, Candidates who have Pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.

Civil:

Essential Qualification:
Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Civil Engineering recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Diploma in Engineering should be of 3 years duration after SSC / HSC.

Essential Experience: Post qualification experience of 4 years (Full Time) as a
Supervisor in any PSU or Private firms of repute in the Civil discipline as on closing date of application.

Note* Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. However, Candidates who have Pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.

Initial pay of Rs. 44900/- in level 7 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. (Group-B). 5
3-Scientific Assistant/B
(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Electronics)
Essential Qualification: Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering (3 years after SSC/HSC). The Diploma in Engineering should be of 3 years duration after SSC / HSC.

Note* Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. However, Candidates who have Pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.

4. Ex-Serviceman candidates Group-B posts: The upper age limit in case of Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs shall be relaxed by five years as per extant rules.

 

Group-C posts: Period of Military Service + 3 years

 

5. Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married. (Applicable for only Group-C posts at Sl. Nos. 5 to 8 and 10 to 11) Up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 years for members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) but no relaxation of educational qualification or method of recruitment.
 

Note

Additional relaxation in prescribed age limit commensurate with experience of working with NPCIL on Contract and who are possessing experience of working with NPCIL, subject to maximum of 5 years.
Sub-Officer/B, Leading Fireman/A & Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman/A: Maximum 5 years Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed in the case of candidates with longer experience and outstanding merit. The five years’ experience in Fire Fighting field is required for getting the advantage of 05 years relaxation in upper age
Upper age limit as prescribed in the advertisement shall not be applicable to regular employees already serving in NPCIL

 

Selection Process for NPCIL Recruitment 2020

 Period of Training

The period of training for the post of Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Diploma Holders in Engineering & Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Science Graduates will be 1½ years (18 months).

 

Details of Bond to be executed by the Category-I Stipendiary Trainee

Service Bond for serving in NPCIL for a period of Four years and six months (4½ years) after completion of training
Indemnity Bond / Bank Guarantee for an amount of Rs. 3,03,000/-

 

Application Process for NPCIL Recruitment 2020

  1. A Candidate has to apply through online application form provided on the website www.npcilcareers.co.in only.
  2. The online application form will be available on the website www.npcilcareers.co.in from Nov 3, 2020 (10:00 Hrs.). To Nov 24, 2020 (16:00 Hrs.).
  3. It is mandatory to input all the relevant information (such as qualifying degree details, NPCIL contract experience details, percentage marks, email address, contact mobile number etc.) to complete the online application process and get the Application number. Therefore, applicants are advised to keep such information ready before applying online.
  4. Before applying online, candidate should scan his / her photograph in JPG format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions and signature in JPG format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions. The photograph uploaded will be printed on the Admit Card and only the applicant whose photograph is printed on the Admit Card will be allowed to appear for Written Examination.
  5. The photograph should be in color, against a light colored, preferably white background and if you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
  6. Candidates are requested to make a note of the login id and password, as she/he will need login to the website to check her/his application status. An email will also be sent to the candidate with the application number.
  7. After registering online, candidates are advised to take print out of their System generated online application form. Please note that the physical copy of the Application need not be sent to us, but if short-listed, candidates will be required to produce the print out of application form.
  8. Application will be accepted ONLINE only. Applications submitted in any other form including handwritten/typewritten applications in hard format delivered in person or by other means shall not be entertained. No Certificates/mark sheets etc. are required to be submitted along with ‘On-line application form’. No documents/application forms etc. are to be sent to NPCIL.
  9. NPCIL is not responsible for any discrepancy in submitting details ONLINE. The candidates are therefore, advised to strictly follow the instructions.
  10. The particulars furnished by the candidates in the Application form will be taken as final and further process of the application will be based on these particulars.
  11. Request for change of test center, test date and timing will not be entertained

 

Online Registration Process for NPCIL Recruitment 2020

The Online registration process consist of following steps :

Step 1: The applicant is required to furnish all basic information such as Name, Date of Birth, Category, Email, Mobile number and other exemption details, if applicable. On successful completion of this stage, activation link is sent to applicant’s email. Click on Apply => Online Registration from the top / left for registration.

Step 2: The applicant is required to activate the account by clicking on the activation link received through email after completing registration in Step 1.

Step 3: On successful completion of this activation, candidates can login using their login id and password to apply online. In this step the candidate is required to fill all details of his / her Educational Qualifications, Work Experience if any etc. This is a multi-stage step where applicant is allowed to go to next stage only on entering the information required for current stage. The sequence of stages are as follows:

  1. Educational Qualifications
  2. Work Experience, if any
  3. Personal Details
  4. Upload Photo & Signature
  5. Submit Application

The links for the above stages are available under Apply Online menu (Apply => Apply Online). The applicant should start by clicking on the “Educational Qualifications” link. Once information is saved, the next stage i.e. Work Experience will be made available for filling up the information.

On entering all the information related to current stage, the applicant can use “Save and Proceed to Next Step” option at the bottom of the form which will save the information entered in current stage and opens the next stage for filling. The next stage can also be opened using link provided in Apply Online menu (Apply => Apply Online).

The information at any stage can be saved using the “Save and Proceed to Next Step” option.
Once the applicant reaches “Submit Application” stage, a draft of all the information entered by the applicant will be shown. At this point, the applicant is allowed to modify any details entered in earlier stages. If applicant is sure that all the information entered is correct, he / she can submit the application using “Submit Application” option. Applicant will not be allowed to make any changes in the information furnished once he / she submits the Application. After submission of application, an Application no. will be generated. The Online Application Process for any of the post advertised is complete only after all the above mentioned applicable steps are complete.

  1. Application Status can be seen by the candidate using “Application Status option” (Apply=>Application Status) after Login.
  2. Initial screening is primarily based on the information provided in the online application form. It is, therefore, strongly advised that all the details should be carefully and correctly entered in online application form.
  3. Applicants are required to keep the scanned signature and photograph ready for uploading at the time of online registration.
  4. Online Application Form’ without valid signature and photograph will not be accepted.
