THDC India Limited is Schedule “A” Mini Ratna Government Public Sector Undertaking (PSU). It is one of the premier power generators in the country with an installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW), Dhukwan Small HEP (24 MW), and Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan,63MW at Dwarka and 50MW Solar Power Project Kasargod.

The equity of the company is shared between NTPC and GoUP.

The Company was incorporated on 12th July 1988 to develop, operate and maintain the 2400MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro Projects. The Company has an authorized share capital of Rs.4000Cr. THDC India Limited (THDCIL) is a Mini Ratna Category-I and Schedule “A” PSU.

Presently, THDCIL has three operational hydropower plants namely Tehri HPP (1000 MW), Koteshwar HEP (400 MW), Dhukwan Small HEP (24 MW), two operational Wind Power Plants namely Patan Wind Farm (50 MW), and Devbhumi Dwarka Wind Farm (63 MW) and one solar project (50 MW).

Presently, 2764 MW is under construction projects (Tehri PSP -1000 MW, VPHEP (444 MW), and Khurja STPP -1320 MW). The other projects are under different stages of development or implementation. Further THDC India Limited also developing 2000 MW UMREPPs (600 MW capacity of Solar Park, each at Jhansi and Lalitpur District and 800 MW at Chitrakoot District of UP) through SPV (a JV of ‘THDCIL’ and ‘UPNEDA’ named TUSCO) in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

 Vacancies for the EWS candidate are subject to further directives of the Government of India and the outcome of any litigation of Hon’ble Supreme Court Order.

The total number of vacancies indicated above may increase/decrease at the discretion of THDC India Limited Management.

The concerned officials reserve the vacancies for persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs)/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS as per Government guidelines/directives. The concerned authorities reserve the vacancies for PwBDs as per Government guidelines. If there is no person with a benchmark disability available for the post, the officials appoint a person other than a person with a benchmark disability to fill up the respective post vacancy by appointment of a person.

The overall percentage of marks in class Xth & XIIth board examination should not be less than 65% (taking an average of all subjects) for GENERAL, OBC (NCL), and EWS Category candidates and pass marks (taking an average of all subjects) for SC/ST/PwBDs Category candidates.

Wherever there is no vacancy in SC/ ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS category, the candidature of the candidate(s) belonging to the SC/ST/ OBC(NCL)/EWS category will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as prescribed for Unreserved (UR) category.

The applicants must keep a point in mind that candidates with 59.99% marks in essential qualifications are not eligible to apply and the concerned authorities do not allow rounding off to 60%. Similarly, candidates with 64.99% marks in the overall percentage of marks in Class X & XII Board Examination are not eligible to apply, as the concerned authorities do not allow rounding off to 65%.

The upper age limit as on 01.08.2022 is 32 years.

 

Relaxations and Concessions

  1. Reservation to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/EWS/PwBDs (Degree of Disability 40% or above)/Ex-SM/J&K Domiciled/Victims of riots candidates will be provided as per Government of India directives/guidelines.
  2. Relaxation in Essential Qualification and Overall percentage of marks for SC/ST/PwBDs and Ex-SM category candidates will be “Pass Marks”.
  3. Relaxation in Upper age Limit for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBDs/J&K Domiciled/Ex-SM/Doob Kshetra candidates shall be as per Government of India directives/guidelines.
  4. The category (SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBDs/Ex-SM/EWS) once filled in the online registration form cannot be changed and no benefit of the respective categories will be admissible later on.

 

Selection Process

  1. The selection team at THDC shortlists the candidates according to their category for the personal interview.
  2. The selection process depends on the marks obtained in three aspects. It includes academic qualifications, job experience, and personal interview performance.

 

Compensation Package

Fixed Consolidate honorarium of Rs 60,000/- per month (CTC). However, a higher consolidated honorarium (CTC) will be negotiable for deserving candidates depending on their academic qualifications, and job experience.

In addition to the consolidated honorarium, the selected candidate receives a special allowance as applicable at the place of posting.

Based on performance, on successful completion of a continuous one-year period/service. In the event of an extension, an annual increase of 8% of honorarium per month may be considered.

In addition to the above, the selected candidates receive special benefits. It includes reimbursement of monthly conveyance for official purposes on a certification basis and one-time reimbursement for mobile phone and laptop as per the THDCIL Policy for Fixed Term Engagement in the executive cadre. The compensation package also includes medical benefits for self, spouse, and two dependent children (subject to the eligibility as per the rule) from THDC India Limited (THDCIL) Hospital/Dispensary and other empaneled hospitals as per the rules.

 

Health Standards

Applicants should have sound health. Before joining candidates will have to undergo a CMO-led medical examination at any government hospital. The concerned authorities do not allow relaxation in medical norms. Registration Fee

Candidates belonging to the General/OBC(NCL)/EWS category are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 600 (Rs Six Hundred Only) through online mode. The SC/ST/PwBDs/Ex-Servicemen/departmental candidates (THDCIL Employees only) need not pay the registration fee to apply for the respective role.

 

Terms and Conditions

  1. The employee engagement for the specified positions is purely fixed-term basis. The employee tenure will commence from the date of joining. Selected candidates will have to sign a contract with THDCIL and terms and conditions of employment will govern the contract.
  2. The engagement is a full-time role on a fixed-term basis. The initial period of engagement is one year. Based on the performance, the concerned officials may extend the period of engagement further on yearly basis. However, the total period of contract engagement will not exceed 5 years.
  3. THDCIL CDA (Conduct Discipline and Appeal) rules and other administrative rules/orders regulate the term of engagement at THDC India Limited that may be in force from time to time.
  4. The engagement of selected candidates is subject to verification of character and antecedents/and caste certificated. In case of any false claim made, the officials have the right to terminate forthwith without assigning any further reason. In addition, the officials may take a prejudice against such actions under the provision of the Indian Penal Code for the production of false certificates.
  5. Selected candidates must work/perform on a full-time basis and look after all job assignments as engineers and will not be allowed any private work during the fixed tenure period.
  6. Engineer(s) so engaged on a fixed-term basis will not have any right to claim regular appointment in THDCIL by virtue of his/her working on a fixed-term basis.
  7. Either party can give one-month notice in writing subject to fulfilling terms and conditions of the service agreement bond to terminate the tenure.
  8. Selected candidates will be entitled to 12 days Casual Leave, 12 days Lieu Leave/Special Additional Leave (whichever is applicable), 2 days Optional Leave in a year, and eligible for all listed holidays of the Unit.
  9. In the case of female employees, the officials extend the Maternity Leave as per the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 subject to fulfilling other laid down conditions in the act.
  10. TA/DA along with Lodging and Boarding charges shall be payable in case of outstation official journey as per the rules.
  11. The employee receives accommodation (Subject to availability and recovery of House Rent and Electricity Charges) at the place of posting as per the existing House Allotment Rules of the Corporation. In case accommodation is not available in the township/premises, the HRA could be payable as applicable at the place of posting.
  12. In case, the concerned officials detect at any stage that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, they will reject/cancel his/her candidature without assigning any reason, thereof. Similarly, even after joining, the officials will summarily terminate his/her services if they find that he/she has furnished any incorrect information or suppressed any material information.
  13. Selected candidates are liable to be posted to any of THDCIL’s Projects/Units.

 

General Information for THDC India Limited Recruitment

  1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  2. The candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in this advertisement.
  3. Candidates must complete the qualification from an Indian University/Institute recognized by the AICTE’s appropriate statutory authority.
  4. All degrees/diplomas must be from a recognized Indian University.
  5. The officials conduct computation of age and experience as on 01.08.2022.
  6. While applying for the post, the applicant must ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects. In case, the officials detect at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after the appointment, the officials can terminate his/her services without any notice.
  7. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
  8. Candidates claiming to belong to any particular category shall/necessarily furnish valid EWS/OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBDs certificate, as the case may be, from the Competent Authority. The candidates must submit the requisite certificate in the latest prescribed format of Government India, issued in the current year only for the posts where there are identified vacancies for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBDs/EWS. Relaxation can be extended in case of vacancies identified for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBDs/EWS candidates. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/, and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates. It is relaxed by 10 years for PwBD-General/EWS, 13 years for PwBDs for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST/ candidate. The OBC candidates who belong to “Creamy Layer” are not entitled to concession admissible to the OBC category and such candidates have to indicate their category as General in the application form. The upper age is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. In addition, the age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (Ex-SM) will be as per Government of India guidelines/directives.
  9. Format prescribed for furnishing certificates for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBDs (as applicable for the relevant PwBDs category), formats are available on THDCIL website www.thdc.co.in.
  10. The officials will treat the closing date for receipt of the application as the date reckoning for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBDs status of the candidate. The candidate must possess this necessary certificate as of this date.
  11. Candidates seeking reservation under EWS Category will have to submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. The EWS Certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be valid on the closing date for receipt of the online application in THDCIL. The prescribed format and the Competent Authority have received the Department of Personnel and Training Office Memorandum No -36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019. The validity of the certificate, if any, will be as per the Government of India rules as amended from time to time. The EWS Candidate must possess an Income and Asset Certificate for the year 2022-23 based on income assessment for the year 2021-22 on or after the closing date of application. No request for the extension of time production of certificate beyond said date shall be entertained. In case the candidates fail to produce the same at the time of the interview, they will not be allowed to appear for the interview. Further, their request for the interview under General Category will not be entertained.
  12. In case, the respective authority issues the Caste/Category Certificate in a language other than Hindi or English, candidates must produce a certified translation of the same in either Hindi or English language at the time of document verification.
  13. The upper age limit for candidates belonging to THDCIL Project Affected Families is relaxed by 5 years.
  14. For candidates belonging to Doob Kshetra/THDCIL Project Affected Area, the certificate is valid only if the Special Land Acquisition Officer (SLO) and concerned District Authority issues and verifies the certificate.
  15. Candidates must bring a valid photo ID to the interview. The officials at the interview venue will not accept photocopies of the original identification document. They will not permit candidates to appear for the Personal Interview, if the candidate does not present original and valid photo identification.
  16. Candidates must keep their e-mail ID, Mobile No. active at least for one year. In addition, the candidates cannot change their e-mail ID and mobile number. The respective department sends future correspondence via e-mail or SMS only.

  18. Candidates working in Government/PSU are required to produce a “No objection Certificate” from the present employer at the time of the Personal Interview.
  19. Candidates employed with Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies will be required to submit the relieving letter from the current organization at the time of joining if selected for the post.
  20. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted an application against the advertisement and apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not bestow on him/her the right to be definitely called for an interview/considered further for the selection process.
  21. Depending on the requirement, THDCIL reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify/alter the recruitment/selection process, if the need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.
