*Candidates belonging to the General/EWS category (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates applying for unreserved posts) must have a first-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks in the required qualification for consideration against unreserved posts.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD, as applicable) must have at least 50% marks in the required qualification for consideration against reserved posts.
Final year/semester students are also eligible, provided they have secured a minimum of 60% marks for General/EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for reserved posts) or equivalent CGPA in aggregate across all semesters/years up to the pre-final examination, and will meet the required educational qualifications with the necessary marks.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a degree recognized by AICTE from a university established by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or from institutions established by an Act of Parliament, or declared as Deemed Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Additionally, Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India) examination, recognized as equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and approved by AICTE, will also be accepted.
Relaxations & Concessions
- Reservation, relaxation, and concessions for EWS, SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PWD, Ex-SM, and J&K domicile candidates will be provided against reserved posts, as per current government orders.
- OBC (NCL), SC, and ST candidates applying for reserved posts will be given upper age limit relaxation as per government guidelines.
- RITES Limited regular/contract employees who meet the educational qualifications and experience requirements will be granted a 5-year age relaxation, in addition to the upper age limit mentioned.
- PWD candidates with a minimum of 40% relevant disability will be eligible for PWD benefits, including a 10-year relaxation in the upper age limit.
PWD candidates will have to meet the Physical Requirements and Functional Classifications which have been identified for the post as under:

Selection Process
Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should have appeared for GATE 2024 Paper as under:

Candidates who obtain valid marks (normalized out of 100) will be eligible for the next stage of selection. Marks will only be considered valid if the candidate meets or exceeds the qualifying marks specified for the GATE 2024 Paper (as applicable).
Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their normalized marks (out of 100) in the relevant GATE 2024 Paper. Due to the ongoing pandemic, RITES Limited reserves the right to conduct the selection process online based on requirements.
Documents submitted by candidates will be reviewed by RITES Limited. Only those found eligible will be called for the verification of original documents and the selection process. Candidates are responsible for uploading supporting documents that substantiate the claims made in their application forms.
If RITES Limited identifies any deficiencies in the submitted documents, candidates may be requested to provide the missing documents within a 7-day period. The date of issuance for these documents must be on or before the last date for submitting the application; documents with a later date will not be accepted.
Candidates shortlisted for the interview will need to submit the documents specified in their call letter.
Final merit list shall be prepared as per following weightage distribution:

Candidates will be considered for empanelment only if they achieve a minimum of 60% marks in the interview for General/EWS categories, and 50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD categories against reserved posts. No aggregate qualifying marks are required.
The Offer of Appointment will be issued to suitable candidates based on category-wise merit and the requirements of the position.
Please note that only GATE 2024 normalized marks (out of 100) will be valid for this recruitment process. GATE scores from 2023 or earlier are not acceptable.
The appointment of selected candidates will be contingent upon their medical fitness, which will be assessed according to RITES Limited rules and the Medical Fitness Standards for the relevant post. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their eligibility.
Candidates may choose to appear for the interview in either Hindi or English.
Nature & Period of Engagement
Selected candidates will undergo a 2-month training period. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be appointed as Assistant Managers on a probationary basis for 1 year, with a pay scale of ₹ 40,000 – ₹ 1,40,000 (IDA pay scale).
Candidates may be posted to any location in India as per the company’s requirements. At the end of the probation period, they must pass a screening test for confirmation of their services. Failure to pass the test may result in an extension of the probation period and further actions in line with company policy.
Please note that no application for external jobs will be forwarded for employees until they have completed 2 years of service with the company.
Remuneration
During the training period, candidates will receive a basic pay of ₹ 40,000 per month in the IDA pay scale of ₹ 40,000 – ₹ 1,40,000. Additionally, they will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA). Candidates from Government Departments/PSUs may have their Basic Pay protected according to company policy, based on merit.
Upon successful completion of the training period, candidates will be confirmed as Assistant Managers, with a pay scale of ₹ 40,000 – ₹ 1,40,000. They will receive basic pay, DA, fixed/variable allowances, Performance Related Pay, medical facilities, HRA/Lease accommodation, and an attractive superannuation package, including Provident Fund contributions, Pension, Gratuity as per the Gratuity Act, and Post-Retirement Medical Scheme.

Note: As per company rules applicable to Regular employees
The company provides term insurance and other insurance cover to its employees. The approximate emoluments on engagement as Assistant Manager shall be 14.27 LPA.
Service Agreement Bond
Selected candidates will be required to sign a service agreement bond committing to complete the prescribed training period and to serve the organization for a minimum of three years. The bond amount is ₹ 1,00,000 (plus applicable GST) for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and ₹ 50,000 (plus applicable GST) for SC/ST/PWD/EWS candidates.
If candidates choose to resign during the training period or within three years after completing the training, they will be required to pay the bond amount.

Note:
- Candidates should be aware that fees submitted through any mode other than the specified method will not be accepted by RITES Limited. Applications with incorrect fee submission will be considered invalid and will be rejected without further consideration.
- Persons with disabilities are eligible for a fee concession, provided they meet all other appointment requirements. PWD candidates seeking age relaxation or fee concession must submit a certified copy of their PWD certificate, in the latest Government of India format, along with their Detailed Application Form.
How to apply?
- Eligibility Check: Before applying, ensure you meet all the necessary conditions and requirements for the position.
- Online Application: Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must apply online through the Career Section of the RITES Limited website: http://www.rites.com.
- Registration Number: Upon submission of the online application, the system will generate a ‘Registration No.’ on the top of the form. Note this number for all future communications with RITES Limited.
- Identity Proof: While filling out the application, ensure you provide accurate details of your “Identity Proof.” This proof must be presented in its original form if requested later in the selection process.
- Document Upload & Fee Payment: After filling in the application details, click on “Upload Documents.” Once the documents are successfully uploaded, proceed to “Make Payment.” The payment details will indicate the amount to be paid based on your category. Applications without successful fee payment will be considered incomplete and rejected.
- Print and Submit: Print and sign a copy of the online Application Form containing your registration number. This copy, along with self-attested scanned copies of the following documents, must be submitted during document scrutiny (if called):
- 2 recent passport-sized color photographs
- High School certificate (proof of Date of Birth)
- Certificates of Academic & Professional qualifications, including statements of marks for all semesters/years (Xth, XIIth, Diploma/Graduation/Post-Graduation as applicable)
- EWS/SC/ST/OBC Certificate in the prescribed format by the Government of India (if applicable)
- Proof of Identity & Address (e.g., Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card)
- PAN Card
- Proof of experience (if applicable)
- Any other supporting document
- PWD Certificate in the latest format (if applicable)
Ensure that scanned copies of all documents are clear and visible.
- Experience Claims: For claims related to experience, upload supporting documents on the RITES Limited website and bring these documents for verification on the day of the interview. Incomplete or insufficient documentation will result in rejection of your application. No additional information will be considered after submission.
- Salary Proof: For proof of current CTC/salary, upload a copy of your last Form No. 16, earning card, salary slip, appraisal letter, or another suitable document. This document must also be presented during the interview.
- Reservation Documentation: SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must provide a caste certificate from competent authorities, adhering to the formats given in Annexures I and II, valid as of the application deadline. OBC-NCL candidates must ensure their certificate indicates they are not from the creamy layer, as per the Government of India’s guidelines. A declaration in the prescribed format (Annexure III) confirming non-creamy layer status must also be provided during document verification.
Certificates should not be older than one year as of the application deadline. Non-compliance with these requirements will result in the candidate being considered under General (UR) vacancies if they meet all other eligibility conditions.
EWS Category Guidelines
1. Eligibility for EWS Candidates:
Candidates applying for vacancies reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) must present an Income and Asset Certificate as per the Government of India format. This certificate must be valid as of the last date stipulated for submission of applications. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the candidate being considered under the General (UR) category if they meet all other eligibility conditions.
2. Submission of Certificates:
OBC NCL & EWS candidates will have the opportunity to submit valid certificates on their joining date. If a candidate cannot provide a valid certificate, they will be treated as a General (UR) category candidate.
3. Document Submission:
- Hard copies of documents should not be sent by post or courier.
- Originals, along with one self-attested copy, must be presented at the time of selection (if called). Originals will be returned after verification.
4. Application Guidelines:
- Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Candidates must meet the advertised eligibility criteria.
- Only one application should be submitted per vacancy. Once submitted, applications cannot be altered.
- A valid email ID is required for online application submission. RITES Limited is not responsible for issues related to email delivery.
- Candidates can apply for multiple vacancies separately but should ensure accuracy in the information provided.
5. Candidature Validity:
- All details provided in the application must be accurate. Misrepresentation or suppression of information will result in the rejection of the candidature.
- Incorrect claims will lead to summary rejection of the application.
6. Departmental Candidates:
RITES Limited employees must apply online and submit hard copies through proper channels.
7. Government/PSU Employees:
These candidates must apply through proper channels. Direct applicants must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview to be eligible for pay protection, transfer of gratuity, and leave. NOCs submitted after the due date will not be considered.
8. Documentation at Selection:
Candidates must bring two copies of Annexure A and the required documents in chronological order for the document verification/selection process.

- Specialization Certificate: If a specialization is required in the educational qualification, candidates must submit a certificate from their University/Institution specifying the specialization in the qualifying degree.
